Troy D-3 District Rankings (Off Season #2)

I love doing these rankings, but as it has been pointed out before, they are just for fun. To any wrestlers who read these and feel that they are ranked too low, you may be right.
I am bound to be wrong on many of the rankings, but fortunately they have absolutely no impact on how anyone will finish at any tournament this season or any other year.

I started moving wrestlers up and down from their previous yearís weights. The new weights are partially based off of where theyíve been wrestling in the off season, though a lot of it is pure guesswork at this time.
Please let me know if anyone has inside information about new weights, schools, or wrestlers that they think should be added.

Iíve tried shifting the wrestlers around from schools that changed divisions. Please let me know if any are wrong, or if Iím forgetting any schools/wrestlers.

* = unsure about participation

-The schools of the incoming freshmen are based off of the previous Yappi thread. Please let me know if any are wrong or have changed.

Itíll be worth following to see where Graham Shore wrestles for Miami East. He could potentially meet 2x state champ DíEmilio if he wrestles 120, or he could potentially see 3x state champ Hoskins at 126. Itís also possible that Hoskins stays down at 120 where he wrestled at Fargo. If both state champs opt to square off at 120, Shore could potentially meet Julian Sanchez in the state finals at 126. The two have split matches in the past with Sanchez winning their state semifinal bout last season.
Another possibility is that both Sanchez and Shore end up at 132 to avoid the clutter of DíEmilio and Hoskins at 126.

The majority of the placers and qualifiers from last yearís D-3 heavyweight state tournament have graduated, yet this district houses an impressive and diverse talent pool.
Stears is the highest returning state placer, Schweiterman is a very talented heavyweight who was state alternate out of this loaded district last year, and Meyer was a middle school state champ last year. Itís always tough to know where to rank the incoming freshmen, especially in the upper-weights where there is usually such a strength disparity between freshmen and upperclassmen.

The upper-weights in general look loaded at this district. State qualifier Zach Banks and district placer Cole Mefford move down to D-3 into a field where you could see a pair of state placers or potentially as many as 6 returning state qualifiers at either 195 or 220.

The lower-weights will be deep with talent with a number of wrestlers like Riddle, Turner, and Edwards who could be in contention for a state title if they find themselves at the right weight-class.

A special thanks to Boro Fan for all the insight into the weights of the wrestlers, Baumís Page and Jakeís Wrestling for all of the results that they provide, and to any of the other wrestling nerds that actually read these things.

Devan Hendrix has a younger brother teagan I believe he probably should be in the top 8 IMO. He will make it to state from this district at 106. Just someone to watch as the season gets here McClearn. And again thanks for giving us something to read!!! Always enjoyable.
