Sure wish Manchester would fill there open week with Marlington. I think that would be a great game. Really good computer points for the winner.

This can't be possible. All the public kids need to go to a private school (such as Hoban) in order to get recognized by college programs. That's what I've been told on this board.

No I think you are mistaken. It is “ Good programs”. Good programs exist at both public and private schools. Harder to get recognized at bad programs (such as Kent).

So you are saying that Manchester has three Division One college recruits on the team this year? At DV that kind of concentration of talent is almost never seen at a public school. That would have to make Manchester one of the favorites to win the DV title. Just one player of that caliber can carry a team deep into the post season in DV-DVII. Three should make them special if you are correct. That will remain to be seen. Wright we know about but are you sure about the others?

What is there to be sure about? That's where they are visiting. By invitation, not a general come one, come all camp. Elite Recruit Camps.

2 of the best football players in NE Ohio are in the PAC. Both Tre Tucker and Ethan Wright are absolutely electric. Both will put up video game like numbers this fall if they stay healthy.

Absolutely correct. However, Tucker only had 1 reception vs. Johnson against Manchester. But, the rest of his game sparkled! 2 excellent playmakers.

CVCA. He just helped their track team win the DII boys state title last weekend. He won the 100 and long jump, placed 3rd in the 200, and anchored the 4x200 relay to victory.

Tre Tucker is just an amazing athlete. In addition to football and track, many probably don't know that he was also a great wrestler in youth and MS., placing in the divisionless MS state tournament. He would probably be a state title contender in that CVCA room if he had stuck with it.

Tre and Ethan Wright from Manchester are probably the two best players in Summit County. Both will be playing in high level D1 college if they stay healthy.

No doubt, he was and still is a beast on the wrestling mat. I have zero doubt that if he was still wrestling he would be a state title contender.

The hardest part is when you qualify to state in 4 events, you end up running so many extra races when you factor in the preliminary rounds at the district, regional, and state itself.

The state meet is run on a time schedule which helps a little bit with going from the 100 to the 4x200. I remember 1 year at the district when our girls finished 1-2 in the 100, but the meet was not on a time schedule and was moving so fast that they only had 5 minutes before they ran the 4x200. They were gassed for that race.

I've heard this in the past. I've never been to the OHSAA state track meet but it sounds like they need to spread events out a little better. Maybe add a day to the event if you have to.

Each round of the tournament takes 2 days - 1 day for running preliminaries (4x800 relay is run on prelim day) and half of the field events, 1 day for finals and the other half of the field events. Also, the field event sessions do not overlap much with the running events except for the DI state meet when 1 field event session coincides with running finals. The state meet is spread out as much as it can be. If they spread it out anymore, they would create extra "down time" which nobody wants.

I saw on Tweeter that Johnson ran a 4.4 at a camp. Don't know Wright's time.

D3 offer? They are prohibited by the NCAA of offering anything other than academic money.

Ok, let's be very specific here. The University has recruited him and has offered him a spot on their roster. He will receive Academic Aid and other types of scholarships and grants. You are very naive to think that D3's do not offer financial help.
