I think the media just reported the story they had at the time. It’s evolved quite a lot since then. It’s just sad teenagers had to be affected by it.

It’s exactly what happened for the most part. CNN, NYT, etc have all continued reporting the facts as they became available.

I would bet there is no punishment levied by the school to anyone. But, yeah, I guess lunatics that want to believe a narrative no matter what, yeah, that ship sailed. I think that’s more a climate of the polarized political climate we live in now.
