While on the subject of cameras... The Kodak Carousel was how we looked at pictures back in the day, no air dropping pics to a handle held device. Dad in control of the klicker and the kids on the floor with the images projected on a wall.

Kmart even had a cafeteria.

How about smoking in general? Doctors and nurses would smoke at the nurse's station. Restaurants, malls, bowling alleys all had smoking.

I never flew when I was younger, bu what about smoking on airplanes/

Remember the 'smoking sections' at restaurents? Many were just a few feet away and somehow that smoke was supposed to magically not leave the smokers area.

Gas stations flying pennants all over the place and giving you a glass embossed with the Browns name if you got a full-up. And during the end of September and the beginning of October, the sky was filled with the lights from searchlights at car dealerships to entice you to see the new models.

The local Longhorn had the smoking section about 3 feet below the non-smoking section. It was like the managers didn't realize that smoke rises. If you got a table at the edge of the two sections, you were likely to be eating your meal in a smoke filled haze.

Lol, never. In fact people did not treat their pets anywhere near like they do today.

My neighborhood had a couple of "pets" but for the most part I remember Dobbermans and German Shepherds chained up in backyards next to a dog house. The smell in the summer was unforgettable.

Someone already mentioned it but riding in the back of pick-ups or the station wagons that had that back-back seat that faced out the rear.

True pee-wee baseball is a thing of the past.

So are several football drills such as bull-in-the-ring.

We had a junk drawer full of matchbooks. Phone books are also no more.

The library Dewey Decimal System.

Glass milk jars that were re-used. The conveyer at the grocery store to return your pop bottles. 15 cents in MI.

Jittney Cab or Neighborhood Cab was like pre-Uber. It was simply a neighborhood person with a car willing to take money to shuttle folks around but clearly was not a licensed cab.

Bringing your "doubles" baseball cards to school and flipping them to win new cards at recess.

Not sure what your definition of pee wee baseball it, but my hometown still has it.
Every Monday-Wednesday-Friday at 1pm starting when school lets out and runs through the end of July.

I had friend in H.S.; his dad was a MD and he collected Coke bottles, they were on a
wall stored sort of like wine bottles, on their side and back lit so you could read the
City & State (raised glass lettering) that was on the bottom.

Best one he had ...Roswell NM

Roswell, NM...by way of Alpha Centauri or maybe Orion's belt.

I'm not saying it was aliens that left the Coke bottle, but...

Ah yes, the Coke bottles. Little store in town and 5 or 6 of us guys would go there and get a 6 Cent Coke. The one who had the bottle that was the greater distance from town had to pay for the Cokes.

I think it started out as "Hoolihan and Big Chuck." When Hoolihan left, then it became "Big Chuck and Lil' John."

When we were kids, we always tried to stay up until the end of the show. We rarely made it.

Other Cleveland shows were "Superhost" and "43's Prize Movie."

Saywell’s drug store/soda fountain hung on in Hudson for a long time after the others all faded away.

You could get a couple of chocolate malteds for you and your kid, put a Robert Burns Black Watch in your coat pocket for later with some Jameson’s, and pay at the same register. It lasted a lot longer than the lunch counter at the Northfield Plaza Kresge’s.

At one time, Woolworth had a pet store. I know you remember. If you were really lucky, your dad would put up $25 bucks for a real spider monkey!!

There used to be an ornery old parrot at the Northfield Plaza barbershop, but some miserable hump called the State Board of Health over the parrot, and they retired him. What kind of a__hole.....

I'd imagine that Yappi knows the booth at Mike's Place with the 4'x4' air intake grate in the ceiling to literally vaccuum the smoke right out of the room!

And just for that old dork zeeman, there is an X-wing Fighter right out in front of the building!!

I have a few antiques that fit in this category.
My favorite is a metal sign it has a baby boy with a pouch of chewing tobacco laying next to him. He is grinning ear to ear with his little hand reaching in his loose fitting cloth diaper.

The sign reads, "Just found his Mail Pouch"

That is just wrong in today's society in so many ways and proves how oversensitive we have become.

Mail Pouch...

You couldn't drive down a country road without seeing a barn painted...

We used to play that with the twist that the closest or 'blank' had to buy.
