Tippecanoe against the Rams provides 0 for the Rams and only benefits Tippecanoe with playoff points. Similar to Milton.

A Clinton Massie and Tippecanoe home and home would benefit both teams

No secret that there is a little rub between Derge and some parents and some of the administration. But in my 67 years on this earth I can honestly say that this exists in 99.9% of all programs at all levels. Nobody makes everyone happy in life and especially coaching. Derge is a class guy and you'd be hard pressed to find a better role model and coach for our guys. I appreciate what he and his staff along with Coach Charlie Burgbacher before him have done for this program and community.

There will always be a "rub" untill the players and fans buy into the kind of offense Tipp runs. These fans clamored for Charlie to throw the ball, they do the same for Derge. With all the successful seasons from running this offense you would think they would have bought in and embraced it as Tipps identity. They really haven't and that is the sole reason there may be any rub between Derge and parents. I wish the players and fans would take pride in how Tipp plays and honestly they would be better for it.

Early in the year, I'm sure that Tipp-Northmont draws a nice gate. From a Harbins standpoint, Northmont needs at least 21 points to qualify in R3 in a normal year. Sometimes closer to 23 points. A 7-3 Tipp (also losing to Troy and Piqua) delivers 4.45 Harbin points, or roughly 20% of what they need to get in. If Sidney is up like they are this year, you're looking at 3.85 points at 6-4. At 6-4 (or worse) that's a pretty meh Harbin's game, with the only upside being a high probability of winning. If Northmont's trying to be a serious D1 program they should just let Tipp out of the contract. It can't be overly difficult to find an average-ish D1 or D2 Cincinnati or Columbus team to play.

Call Pickerington Central and get your rematch.

If Derge has a (4-6) or (3-7) or worse season will he be gone then?

No. The freshman class this year is special he will have until they graduate, and if he doesn't have a winning season when they are junior's or seniors then you might see a change

Not sure if that's just your first 5 weeks games or if your stating that those are all wins against same caliber teams? Idk. Lol if it is a caliber of teams thing don't put us in the same category of Fairborn , Xenia and wc haha not even close

The Wilmington program is much different now then it was then . The past 3-5 years Wilmington has been a very solid team. Their scheduling isn't the best , they've been 8-2 twice I believe and missed playoffs but needless to say I think tipp-Wilmington would be a good home to home matchup now

Greeneview? Wtf? Tipp would trash Greeneview. Tipp should go after a home and home with Coldwater, Marion or even Alter. Northmont is way too big for Tipp.
Milton vs Northwestern is a much better game for both schools. Nw has great facilities and a decent program. CBC schools are perfect for a school like MU.

We're booked through 2020. I would welcome a home and home with Tipp though.

Week 3 matchup to replace Northmont? I like it, Tipp also seems to be flirting with Clinton Massie for that spot. Gotta give credit to the AD and Derge for looking for a great program to go against and not just another cupcake. They arenít scared like Shomper and Burbacher.

I'm super proud of the heart our boys showed this year playing through a lot of injuries. Next season is going to be a good one. Man I cannot wait.

Tipp was nothing until Charlie got to town. He wasn't scared he had to work with shomper. Enough said.

Shomper was no different than any other AD. He scheduled the games that the VARSITY HEAD COACH wanted. Every game was scheduled with their approval.

Shomper was a tool. Everyone knew it. Burgbacher was the best thing to ever happen to Tipp City football. He revived that program.

Tipp is moving ahead with their stadium. Groundbreaking next week, looks like they will be doing the turf first.

The article in the Dayton Daily News provides more insight into the charge. It is a first degree misdemeanor for hiring family members to cover games when no other person was willing to work or those scheduled to work backed out at the last minute and he needed a quick replacement. A practice widely used by AD's. Shoot, even superintendents have hired family members to work in their school district. The family members he used were even approved by the board of education as game workers.

Resign on his own???? No! He was applying for jobs. No secret that he was going to look for a different job AFTER his son graduated. Only reason he stayed at Tipp 10 years was to be able to watch his son participate in all of his activities.
