Thanks for the buffer on losing our TE/DE but it wouldn't have mattered much at all. We were beaten by bigger/faster/stronger players all night by just about every position on the field. IV is a very dynamic team who can make some noise as the leaves fall. I'm only glad they had some miscues and decided not to run up the score to bad on us after they got to 50. I see good things next year, this year, not so much as expected.

I believe Ridgewood plays 4 Freshmen on the defensive side of the ball. East Canton was so much bigger and faster than Ridgewood. This isn't the same defense we've come to expect from Ridgewood. That stout defense from last year has all graduated. Normally it doesn't look as vulnerable because they can outscore opponents. East Canton constantly brought pressure last night and it rattled the Alexander kid. He made two really poor throws that were intercepted and was misfiring passes most of the night. It appears as if one poster was right when they said East Canton would be the most talented team the Generals have played to date. Also appears some ridgewood posters were right in talking about Ridgewood being in a rebuilding year... two of the teams they beat are 0-4. I'm sure it was a somber atmosphere in west Lafayette last night. This would have to be one of their worst home losses in history I would think. Will be interesting to see how coach slusser rallies his troops come Monday at practice.

40-0. Didn't see that one coming. Ouch.

IV looks the part right now.

OT: I was at NP-St Charles last night. SC controlled the 2nd half and led 28-10 with under 4 min left in the 4th. It was over. Philly proceeds to score 3 times in that span and wins 29-28. It was really stunning. I'm still not sure of what I saw, but I know it was dang near miraculous.

No, it's not. They got their revenge by crushing Phila's JV team today, by 50 points.

That's exactly what I would expect what would happen when a large D4 schools plays a small D6 school.

Yes Claymont should not be beating their chest on that win, Trail goes back and forth from 6 and 7 and Claymont goes back and forth from 3 and 4. So that's almost 4 divisions at times.

Claymont hasn't been D-3 since they went to 7 divisions. So, they've never gone back and forth. And printing game stats is not beating chests.
The local paper failed to print anything on the game. Just thought some fans would like to see the stats.

I don't see anyone beating their chest. Claymont did what they had to do and moved on.

Those are pretty detailed stats for not reading them in the paper? You keep them yourself or are you a Claymont coach?

Not a coach, just recorded the game. BTW, the local paper didn't cover the game at all, no article, no pictures, no recap, no box score, they didn't even print the final score.
Nothing. They must have been unaware that Claymont had a game last night. I'm old enough to remember when the paper printed stats like that for all the local teams.

Nice! Good job man. Hey can you post the stats from the Claymont - New Philly game? I didn't see it in the paper either and my wife is a Dover grad. We're just curious and want to see what we are facing! Thanks in advance!

Don't see Sandy Valley putting up 21 points against Claymont's defense, and those other scores are a bit close, except maybe the BT-IV score.

If I'm reading this right you have the week 9 game Ridgewood (6-2) at Claymont (7-1) with Ridgewood winning.
And Indian Valley going 10-0.

I think I would have seen that. So, no.

If the SC coach was to be upset I'd guess it could be over something like whether NP was offsides on the onside kicks. But what he should be upset about is allowing 2 pass TDs in 43 seconds.

Wow, you have your rebuild at 4-1 but SV rebuild at 1-4. Interesting.

...and NP's freshman beat CSC 30-0. Without trying to sound like tossing out excuses, there was not 1 player that has even taken a snap at QB available for that JV game. It's ok though because that was only their 3rd or 4th loss in like 4 years. In regards to the post game excitement on Friday night...no punches were thrown. It was handled accordingly. I will say the Cardinals young men missed out on a decent meal before heading back to Columbus that was prepared by the NP football mom's due to some sour grapes.

League taking shape like I thought it would. IV and Claymont dominating and The Wood and Garaway rebuilding. The others falling into place.

I think after this year things will really fall into place for the league. IV will continue to dominate and Ridgewood and Garaway will improve to make things interesting. Claymont is just having a freak year. Loaded with talent and quite possibly the worst staff ever. The talent is just letting them win. What make Garaway and Ridgewood such a threat this year on a rebuilding(not really rebuilding just reloading) is the coaching staffs of both schools. Both have great staffs. They both will be competitive against Claymont for sure but will run out of gas because Claymont is just too talented. IV may be a different story. They are talented and well coached so Wood and Garaway may not get off the ground against them.

All in all I think the new league is a good thing and will only get better.
