tOSU vs NCST

Seven H2H ranked match ups. This should be another barn burner. It would be nice to see one of these barn burners leave the Buckeyes feeling good heading into the B10s. tOSU has had a brutal last month. The home Iowa match sent shock waves as NaTo lost to freshman phenom, Lee. After a breather with MSU and Purdue (in which Campbell lost by DQ to a freshman with a losing record), tOSU traveled to PSU and lost a heart breaker, with #1 Moore dropping his first match of the year. Then we had the debacle in MICH, losing four upsets at 133, 157, 174 and 285. One could argue that 133 wasn't a shocker, even tho Pletcher took his first loss against a guy he beat earlier. And Micah had lost to Pantaleo earlier, so again not a shock. BoJo has owned Amine, but Amine is really good and BoJo hasn't been wrestling as well as most Buckeye fans had hoped this year. But then the shocker at 285! Enough has been said about that match, so I won't add any more.

So after this brutal B10 spurt, we take on possibly the best non B10 team in the NCAAs in NCST. To feel good about this dual, we nearly need to sweep them. NaTo has a #4 vs #5 match, but I'd be disappointed if he didn't have a somewhat comfortable win. McKenna and Micah are both ranked lower, but I think both will be in play and would be very good wins if we can win one or both. Campbell has to finally get a W after a month and a half of Ls. MyMar has a tough match against a guy who beat him last year. He has been spectacular all year until he got thumped by Nickal and then squeaked by Abounader, who's pretty good himself BTW. And Moore doesn't have an easy match. I can't imagine us losing this dual, but we need to hold serve (win where we're supposed to) and get an upset or two of our won.

It is much nicer on big screen... As said, if you have Roku, Firestick, or a smart TV, simply download the FREE WatchESPN app. (also super handy in March for those of us not rich enough to be in Cleveland).

If you don't have any any of the above, I've also used HDMI cable from laptop to TV and viola! (Still need Watch ESPN app though)

That cut on Kyle's cheek against Coon looked like it needed more than a band-aid. It would not be a surprise that Kyle sat for legitimate reasons like stitches. tOSU did list both Snyders in the pre-match release.

Also curious about Hayes. Did he chip a tooth when he went all Mike Tyson to the back of Amine's head at the end of the 149 match. Amine had a pretty good amount of blood on his back and shoulders from fang Hayes.

Lots of good matches. NC State probably won't push tOSU like Penn State or Michigan did, but they could make it closer than Iowa did.

OHIO STATE BUCKEYES NORTH CAROLINA STATE WOLFPACK
125: Fausz dec Tomasello 3-0 NC State; Obviously can go either way, but Fausz is long and solid on the mat which I think will be the difference in this one.
133: Pletcher dec Wilson in overtime 3-3; Wilson has some solid wins this year and could be a problem for Pletcher.
141: Jack dec McKenna 6-3 NC State; Would not be terribly shocked to see McKenna take this one, but Jack has been on fire as of late.
149: Hayes dec Donahue 6-6; Donahue is tough to score on, but do not think Hayes will have a lot of trouble
157: Hilday pin Jordan 12-6 NC State; My big prediction of the dual. Hilday's ability to put his opponents in danger is underrated and we all know that Micah gets put on his back a good amount.
165: Hamman dec Campbell 15-6 NC State; Campbell has been in a slump lately and I do not see him getting out of it here.
174: Jordan maj Bullard 15-10 NC State; Bo Jordan taking care of business
184: Renda dec Martin 18-10 NC State; Could go either way but Renda has Martin's number
197: Moore dec Macchiavelo 18-13 NC State; Macc is one of the most underrated wrestlers in the country. That being said I do not think he will be able to upend Moore.
HWT: Snyder maj Boykin 18-17 NC State; Boykin is a very tough wrestler and Snyder is not known for putting guys on their back. Would be surprised to see more than a major here.

Wonder what’s going on with Moore. He doesn’t seem to be the same offensively as he has been

I could be wrong but I believe I read somewhere that Jack had never lost a home dual in his career...until today. Real solid, technical win for Joey. Glad to see him hitting his stride.
