Kettering Fairmont D-1 District Rankings (Off-Season #2)

I love doing these rankings, but as it has been pointed out before, they are just for fun. To any wrestlers who read these and feel that they are ranked too low, you may be right.
I am bound to be wrong on many of the rankings, but fortunately they have absolutely no impact on how anyone will finish at any tournament this season or any other year.

I started moving wrestlers up and down from their previous year’s weights. The new weights are partially based off of where they’ve been wrestling in the off season, though a lot of it is pure guesswork at this time.
Please let me know if anyone has inside information about new weights, schools, or wrestlers that they think should be added.

I’ve tried shifting the wrestlers around from schools that changed divisions. Please let me know if any are wrong, or if I’m forgetting any schools/wrestlers.

* = unsure about participation

-The schools of the incoming freshmen are based off of the previous Yappi thread. Please let me know if any are wrong or have changed.

Elder and LaSalle are going to be so much fun to watch next year! Both teams will be in contention for trophies at some of the best tournaments in the state, and then they’ll meet here to determine a district champion.

Elder could land 11 state qualifiers if they can fit everyone into their ideal weight-classes. McCloud, Moore-Nash, Evans, and maybe even Murphy and Sanders will have a shot at a state finals appearance.

LaSalle will have Norris, Byrd, Heard, Wilson, and Baker will be competing for a state finals appearance, and they’ll have another Heard (Darnai) and Wiles who could be impact freshmen right out of the gate.

Mason always has a handful of wrestlers who emerge as state qualification contenders after wrestling as backups the prior season. Glassco could be a district champ this season after sitting behind state placers Schuster and Hood last year. Waugh will finally get the chance to start after biding his time behind the likes of Schuster and Donathan.

Western Brown makes the jump from D-2 to D-1 this year, and they will only add further depth and talent to this district. Marlow and Lucas were state placers last year while Taylor, Donathan, Hamblin, Spears, and Altman have al qualified for the state tournament previously.

A special thanks to Boro Fan for all the insight into the weights of the wrestlers, Baum’s Page and Jake’s Wrestling for all of the results that they provide, and to any of the other wrestling nerds that actually read these things.

Heiland is going to be very tough. James Davis is capable of winning any match he is in.

From what I gathered on Skinner, he could be at Middletown or Monroe, no decision has been made yet.

West Carrollton/James Davis are now in D2, I would assume they feed to Wilmington?

Is Drew cutting from 170? Need help? My Tapeworm diet 2018 edition is ready for EBay and Amazon in 2 weeks, pending USDA monetary persuasion.

"not in the states"?.... as in another Country/Canada? Does this mean he will come back to Ohio as a freshman the following year?

I believe he is a little older than you may think and if he came back I would think it would have to be as a sophomore to stay under that age limit for high school.
