Gruesome - Twisted Prayers (2018)

My Ratings: 78.230
Rank: 277 (out of 1315)

Best Song: Fate [81.6]

Death Metal

Death tribute band? This one sounds nearly identical to the older albums of the band Death. Nothing wrong with that. Like it all.... good ole death sounding jams here!

Not their best album but does contain their only top 40 hit. Back in the late '70s NEO was one of the hot spots for the brewing punk scene and Devo was one of the more important acts, especially when it came to visual presentation of their music.

A great find... sometimes you have a hidden treasure in your own home and did not realize it. In my storage room I came across a box that had some albums in it and it was mostly sound tracks like Dumbo, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, some Olivia Newton John and stuff like that but then to my surprise I found an original Beatles Help album. I quickly got it on my turn table and it sounds great.... How long has this been sitting back there and how did it get there without me knowing about it? Well, I have to admit I don't remember much from the 80's so who knows.... it is a magical mystery!!!!

Anyhow, I am currently listening to the new The Eternal release but this one is a marathon so I am taking two days to listen to it.... the first track was 20 minutes long but so far so good.....

Period of transition for the Beatles. I assume your copy is the North American release which overall was not a great album as they omitted some tunes, notably Yesterday, and added a bunch of instrumental tracks that were used in the film. Standout tracks were all Lennon songs: the title track Help, You've Got to Hide Your Love Away, and Ticket to Ride. "Ticket" in particular is a great song with the Byrds like guitar line, one of Ringo's best drum parts, and a great bridge that is repeated.

No, this is actually the original British release. It is identical to the one you quoted and has Yesterday on side B song #6. It is EMI records (Gramophone Company) Hayes Middlesex England. I've discovered that this album was bought by my Dad while he was overseas in England in 1965/1966. I had no idea that it was hidden with a bunch of other albums including a couple of Village People albums.....
