Probably StV #1. They have the reputation and schedule power to get the #1 seed over other teams with much better records. Even if they finish with 4-5 losses I see them as #1 seed.
Tallmadge/Louisville for #2/#3.
Buchtel/Northwest/Norton for #4-#6.
Coventry/Alliance #7/#8
Marlington #9
Canton South/Field #10/#11
Springfield #12
Of course there is alot of basketball to be played and these chould change significantly.
I don't see the Irish getting the #1 seed. Not with their schedule. I can see them losing 6-8 games. They are young and they don't have a ton of height. But they are VERY talented and VERY deep. But no matter what the seed, I do agree they will be the team to beat in this District.

They had 5 losses last year and got the #1 seed.
Unless one of the other teams comes in with only 1 or 2 losses, I suspect that StV will still get the #1 seed even if they have 6 losses.
If won't matter where SVSM is seeded, they shouldn't have any trouble winning the district.
The Irish are at Buchtel Tuesday, that will give us a good indication. Buchtel and Tallmadge are next two best teams in the district.
SVSM will blow through that district. Stick them wherever you want. Look at who they have beat, look who beat them and look at how close the scores were. Forced OT with Garfield Heights - let me know if any other team in that district plays anybody remotely close to being that tough. They can be under .500 and be the best team by a mile.
SVSM wins this one going away. Only team that may give them a game would be Buchtel if they are playing well. The rest will be blown away by SVSM speed of the game.

Wow you feel better now after beating your Catholic chest and declaring to the other 11 district schools best they should not even make an appearance in the tournament . Just give St. V the trophy now. Nonetheless you are correct. I mean really how do you compete with the best team with the best schedule in DII recruiting all the best talent in their surrounding geographical area? Thanks for the enlightment. Now go and be great for thou VASJ and go in peace and get those donations for your 2018-2019 recruits.
Nobody is beating their chest. The question somebody posted was how many games do the Irish need to loose to not be considered the top seed. They just happen to be in a weak district. That is just the truth. It was no slam on the other schools as it was a testament to the schedule SVSM plays. Sounds like you have hatred or jealousy toward the Catholic schools. VASJ in past years has played in a much tougher district and needed some luck the last few years just to advance to regionals. Warrensville Heights and Beachwood should have eliminated the Vikings and didn't. It just so happens that SVSM really has had no challengers at the district level. The same cannot be said for VASJ in years past or this year for that matter.
I’m not trying to stir anything up, but honestly how many more losses can ST V suffer and you guys still think they are a #1 seed?
If you looked objectively at the Irish at the beginning of the season you would have seen their youth, their comparative lack of height and their schedule to easily envision 6-8 losses (now, maybe a couple more?). So a #1 seed was never in the cards IMO. But when you look at their speed, their depth and the experience they will gain playing one of the toughest schedules in the State, you can also easily envision a deep playoff run and a legitimate shot at the DII title. So, while they won't be the #1 seed, while they may end up with barely a .500 record, they will still be the heavy favorite in the district.
Schedules and results for every team in the district, as well as full schedules, results, and standings for all the leagues/conferences to which the teams in the district belong.
If you have teams finish with 3 or 4 losses and St V's finishes with 6 or 7 I can almost guarantee you that SVSM won't be the #1 seed. Will they still be the favorite? Of course, they are already the favorite....but remember the voting is done by coaches. Coaches have pride in their team, their teams record and even though they don't play the schedule that SVSM does, they'll vote because a "better record means you're better"....lol. Not all of them will....but enough to keep the Irish from being the 1 seed. It's kind of like the AP poll....it doesn't really matter....you still have to play the games
Online voting for seeding begins Wednesday, February 7 12:01 am through Saturday, February 10 at noon. That could impact the seeding too. Many games are still scheduled after the seeding comes out.
With the seedings determining where everyone goes into the bracket, it will be interesting to watch the voting. Not many teams are going to want to be on the same side of the bracket with StV. With the old system of allowing the teams to choose, it wasn't that big of a deal. With them being slotted, those teams in the top 4 are going to be very careful about knocking StV down to a #2 or #3 seed and potentially playing on their side of the bracket.

STVM won't be beat by Buchtel unless the Griffs play out of their minds! There is too much emotion involved in that game for the Irish to have a let down against them. Honestly, IMO, given the past, given the LeBron factor, given the friendly and, at times, not so friendly rivalry between the players on the 2 competing teams, as far as basketball goes, I'd bet the Irish players get more amped up for that game than they even do for Hoban or Walsh. Like Central Hower before it shut down, Buchtel is a team the Irish always seem to keep a particular eye on.
Alot of great records in this district. The elephant in the room is StV. With a win over Hoban, they would be 10-7 heading into the start of voting. Does that get them the #1 seed? If not, how far do they drop. Norton should be 15-3 going into the voting. Northwest and Tallmadge could also have only three losses, but they both have a little tougher tests the next few days.
