Anna and Marion Local went back and forth in the first half as the two ended up tied at the break. Marion Local blew it open in the 3rd but Anna came back from a double digit deficit in the 4th to pull out a win

Keep an eye out for Legacy Christian, AKA Xenia Christian.... they were up by double digits on Bethel before the Bee's also made a comeback in the 4th to pull out a win. JAN 9th they host Troy Christian in a battle of two 9-2 teams.

I agree about Legacy Christian. Also Troy Christian is solid. They have a 6’10 270 lb man. They are also extremely well coached. The difference between this team and the great ones from a few years ago is that they don’t have the depth and athletes. Will be a tough out though.

Keep an eye on Springfield Catholic Central. 9-1 (6-0 OHC) with a deep roster that just got another addition with a newly eligible transfer (able to play this Friday).

These rankings may be pretty accurate, but if they are, what has happened to all of the private schools?

Fenwick is the only private school listed. I have to believe there are at least three more that I would make my top 10 in either divisional list.

I'm aware, they have showdown with Troy Christian tonight. They've been close to making the top 8 all year I'm sure they'll make it at some point.

James Anderson is 6'8 and between 260 and 270lbs. He's the reigning MBC POY and should be an all-state player this year. Also, Legacy Christian has played a more impressive schedule than TC and TC has a bad loss while LC doesn't. TC does have a decent team however, I don't believe they go far. They're in D3 this year.

The traditional privates are having a down year this season. Both Alter and CJ are still tough outs(CJ just defeated Fenwick last weekend) are currently under .500.

Hope Butler/Trotwood can actually be a game. Afraid they may be too much for Butler. Good game tonight at Stebbins. Butler won with a buzzer beater in OT to move to 10-1, 6-1.

Ft. Loramie/Versailles game was just insane. Too bad it had to end the way it did. Justin
Ahrens was off but Fort Loramie did a great job defending him but AJ Ahrens made up the slack and had his best game of his career as he helped Versailles come back from 10 behind in the 2nd half to take the lead. Ft. Loramie would tie the game late but it looked like Versailles was going to win as AJ went in for a layup but Tyler got the block but the rebound went to Justin for what looked to be a buzzer beater layup but Tyler somehow got to that one as well and off to OT. Versailles controlled the OT period but missed free throws down the stretch gave Fort Loramie another chance and they capitalized by drilling a 3 (can't remember who hit it) to tie it with a second on the clock. It looked like a 2nd OT but Versailles got a timeout in before the clock went to zero, the problem, they had no timeouts left. Bench technical and Fort Loramie drilled the free throws and won 48-46 in OT....

So let me get this right. The Versailles coach did not foul when ahead by three with just a few tics on the clock?? With all the big guys he has to rebound the predictable missed free throw that would have been Loramie’s only option?? And then he calls a timeout when he doesn’t have any left?? Who is this guy?

Yes and if you look at #1 UA's schedule, looks kinda weak. they do have a star player in Goodwin, but I'm more interested to see how Wayne does against Springfield. IF Wayne wins all 3 of these games, look out!

UA schedule is ok. They played Africentric tough winning in double OT. They play a very good Eastmoor Academy team in a couple weeks.

Yea. I saw that. Should make for an interesting game later in the season especially if TC beats DC the second time they face each other.

Ft. Loramie should of won the game in regulation but could not make free throws.

Ft. Loramie is big as well with a 6'7" kid. Some coaches foul some don't in that situation. I was getting ready for OT number 2 and then all of a sudden they figured out Versailles had no timeouts left. It is not necessarily the coaches fault on that as one of the bench coaches is likely responsible for that. I do not know if he was miss informed or had a brain freeze. Great game though.....

I have not seen UA yet but will check them out after the Wayne/Springfield game as their game with Coffman will be on Spectrum 1311 at 10 PM on Friday.

I'm not sure what Wayne will have on Monday. The Wayne game against Trotwood wore them out and they struggled against Indy Emmerich the following day.... Springfield and ASVM will definitely be a battle so hopefully what ever they have left in the tank will be enough to get the w against UA.

Bench coaches and scorekeeper have to communicate with each other, then bench coaches have to make sure the head coach is aware and acknowledges their statement. There are many potential ways the ball could have been dropped. Almost always the officials inform the coaches when they are out of timeouts. I have also seen officials refuse to call the timeout when they know to do so would result in a technical. I would be interested in how much the scorers table communicated with the officials and both benches.

Looks like the Springfield/Wayne game for Friday night has been postponed. There is nothing on Wayne's site but the GWOC no longer shows that game and has the game now listed for Wednesday January 24th....
