I thought I had Minster in the wrong county.

And I think you are correct about the gene pool trickling to the south .

Still my central point is just because one great class of kids graduates from a MAC school does not mean another is not immediately ready to step up and continue the work of excellence.

I think Coldwater is the best example of this, but certainly any community in that area would be similar.

I think the gene pool has been mixed between a few Wildcats and Redskins over the years......

Are we sure MV is fielding a football team? Do they have a new head coach?

I can't speak to if they have a coach or not, but the article does sound promising when it states that they have a good Junior and Senior class that have been playing since they were Freshman. Based off of that I would think they would atleast have the numbers to have a team.

2nd week of official practices start today, is there any word on the Bradford program?

What are some of the scrimmages that league teams have this week?

Time to find out how good this years Tigers really are. Everyone is predicting that East is #2 in the league behind Loramie so it should be a good indication of where we are.

Post Bradford vs Trail scrimmage

We Didn't Quit

“We didn’t quit.” This was new Bradford head coach John Cruse’s first comment about the Bradford scrimmage against Trail. But this phrase applies to the football program as a whole when it came close to being brought to halt almost 24 hours before.

Bradford’s football program had gotten off to about as bad a start as a team could in the preseason. After starting with 22 kids at the beginning of 2-a-days, the team melted away to just 13 players who...

Things not looking good for National Trail if they gave it their all vs Bradford.

Can a team legitimately play with 13 kids? Injuries seem almost certain with kids playing both ways and special teams as well as playing out of position. Troy Chrisian had 18 four years ago and that was not a good situation (10 of the 18 were sophomores).

Let me get this straight... Bradford is going to attempt to play a 10 game schedule with 13 kids?

Post Ccc 2018

Sounds Bradford hopes to get a few more onboard before the start of the season.

It's not impossible, I recall North played a varsity schedule in the mid-70's with 13 players. Coach Montgomery was their coach and he was tough. Surprisingly they even had a winning record.

I just hope they don't decide to cancel the season in the middle of week one like they did last time this happened... Granted the conference voted not to play them in varsity which caused them to do so back then.

Looks like Miami East is loaded up this year along with Covington, Bethel and Ft Loramie. The CCC isn't the CCC of the past. East will clock MU in week one and not look back. 10-0 is very likely for them. FL and Covington will push hard.

How I see it:
Miami East
Ft Loramie
Covington
Bethel
Tri Village
TCN
Ansonia
Arcanum
TVS
Bradford
National Trail
Miss Valley

Coach Current certainly will have his kids ready to play! But my gut feeling is still Fort Loramie.

Tri Village over TCN, Arcanum and Ansonia is absolutely the funniest thing I've ever seen on this site.

That's exactly what I would be concerned about as well. You're assuming the coach will be able to talk more kids back into the program, no kids will quit during the year (when they're playing the entire time and getting their butts handed to them most weeks), and that they avoid injuries... Yes, its possible but at this point I'd bet on Bradford not finishing the season with those numbers.

No the funniest thing is you degrading a post like the little boy you are. Grow up.
Arcanum, Ansonia? Lol. Neither one are that good. Ansonia is never consistent.
Everyone at that level will struggle anyway. So hang your hat on a win over Tri Village. Lol!

I am certainly not trying to disrespect anyone's opinions on here but I definitely would consider Arcanum, Ansonia and TCN ahead of Tri-Village by a pretty large margin. I would have those 3 ahead of Bethel this season as well.

Agreed that these teams would be favored over Tri-Village.

The CCC typically is a bit of a have and have not league with a sharp line between it's top tier and bottom tier teams. In my opinion, once you get below Fort Loramie, ME, and Covington, there's a middle of the road pack. Then you have a sharp drop off to National Trail, TV, Bradford, and MV. I would expect that to be a similar case this season. My prediction for the overall league standings would be:

1. Ft Loramie
2. Miami East
3. Covington
4. TCN
5. Bethel
6. Arcanum
7. Ansonia
8. TVS
9. National Trail
10. Tri Village
11. Miss Valley
12. Bradford

Wow, you name calling is degrading. Do some research and look up the teams who I said will be above TV and you might see why I said that. TCN has well over 40 players with 15 seniors, Ansonia has a top 10 in state wr (small school football). Arcanum is 40+ with Schondelmyer coaching them all 3 teams will destroy a TV team who barely beat MV last year.
