W4 Clinton massie(2-1) Miami-Trace(2-1)

Hasn't been a interesting game in a few years but with several CM starters injured is this game any closer. I personally think not, but makes for some good chatter.

Clinton massie brings out the firepower and topples Miami Trace. Those boys from clinton massie play with great pad level and a lot of grit. I've been to a few games this year and I know that clinton massie always wins the pregame. Massie's gonna have the W as soon as they get off the bus

This one is over in the 1st quarter. Massie gets a chance to rest anybody they want before Hartley next week!

Uh you gotta respect Massie for their OOC games, very few teams in D4 play that kind of non-league schedule. Uh Coldwater, Fenwick and Hartley, not an easy way to go.

3 seniors ...1 o-lineman 2 two way players RB's and LB's. Think all 3 will be back for Hartley week 5.

Agreed, I personally like that kind of schedule, they have a way of showing the spots you need the work at ...Including Edgewood, Milford, Sydney and Bellbrook. All good teams that bring their own specialty to the field.

There was no disrespect intended! I agree! I admire Massie for scheduling tough teams. I was simply stating that in this case, Massie will have this game in hand by the end of the first quarter and it will be a good time to rest some guys and get them healthy for next week when they have Hartley coming to town. After playing two good teams in Coldwater and Fenwick in back to back weeks, it's nice to have a game like this where they can rest a few of those guys and try to be as close to 100% as possible with a very good Hartley team coming to town! No disrespect intended!

Slow start for the Falcons but once they figured out the blocking assignments all was good. Lamb had a solid night and I would love to see this #6 get some reps in the backfield. This kid is ready for some varsity action. He has a burst and is a playmaker. His special teams play and nose for the ball is obvious. Give him 5-10 touches and good things will happen.

Not sure what this means. Trying to slur a team's success is the point I guess.

Admire Clinton for playing a tough schedule. Helps them prepare for playoffs since conference is so bad. Alter needs to get better OC games in coming years. Marshall never the same since Coach White left. Fairmont is a good game, but need to find a couple better games outside conference. (Bellbrook, Clinton Massie, Desales, Troy)

DeSales in 19 and 20. Hartley wanted Alter, but Domsitz said no. Badin and McNick elected to stay soft.

Not at all was I trying to slur's the all star teams success. We all know they should be more successful when they have the opportunity to draw kids from multiple public school districts.

It worked out great for Trotwood, Steubenville, Wheelersburg, and Pick Central last season, but Winton Woods just came up short against a team that does it a little better.

Used to play Bellbrook every year, until the Eagles had enough and won't play them.

At the end of last year with week 3 open their first phone call was to Clinton Massie, who said no.

Desales next year from what I'm told.

Of course we would say no we had already locked up Bishop Hartley and Coldwater for this year. Can't take a chance adding Alter and losing all 3 and not making the playoffs that would be stupid. Smart move by our staff and AD. You gotta schedule strong teams but that would have been a meat grinder. I do believe if we did not have Hartley locked in then we would have gladly added Alter.

Point well taken, I guess I was trying to point out that it's not that they are trying to play what many see as a weak OC schedule, it's just difficult finding teams of similar size that will play, like Massie would in a typical year. I know many think the "All Star Team" from Kettering should load up with Div I and II opponents but it would appear to me that Div III is all they can handle. Since 2011 they've been in Div III 3 years. They are 0-3 in Div III playoff games.
