I have Lake Catholic getting seven, which I think is about a kid higher than what will really happen. They'd have to have a perfect tournament for that (heck, things go not well five is possible too).
Canfield and SVSM I have getting six each, which is more realistic than Lake Catholic getting seven. Their paths for the six I pick are mostly clean.
Alliance is at five out by my predictions.
Woodridge, CVCA - 4
West Branch, Revere - 3

106: Suber (Tallmadge) through the top, though it won't be easy with Olson (SVSM) in a quarter and then Wayt (West Branch) in the semi; Wayt over Mayes (Jefferson) is my pick in the quarter. Decatur (CVCA) through the bottom, Rowan (Perry) as the semi. Top stronger than bottom. I have Wayt clearing easily and then I like Olson to beat Mayes in consolation before clearing Rowan in the go-to.

113: Cardello (CVCA) clears the top, Delgarbino (Girard) in the semi. McCrone (Lake Catholic) clears the bottom going through fellow state placer Carone (Streetsboro) in the quarter and Nicolino (Southeast) in the semi. I have Carone beating Hewitt (Hoban) and then Delgarbino to get out, while NIcolino gets out through the other consolation spot.

120: Stricker (Hoban) clears the top, beating McCloskey (Girard) in the semi. Gerback (Marlington) through the bottom, beating Ryan (Lake Catholic) and then Wainuskis (Alliance); Wainuskis v Wright (Coventry) a tough quarterfinal. I have Ryan beating Wright then McCloskey to get out, though I think that's a hard road for him; Wainuskis gets out beating Reeves (Woodridge) to go.

126: Kosco (CFNW) and Decatur (CVCA) are an obvious final. Baitt (Jefferson) hits the top semi, I have him beating Dolph (Canton South) to get out; Massey (Woodridge) beats bottom semi loser Kiss (NOrton) to get out.

132: Bailey (Southeast) clears the top, beats Smith (CFNW) then Skleres (Lake Catholic). Wymer (SVSM) clears the bottom, beats Potok (Tallmadge) in the semi; bottom is weaver than the top. I think Genovese (Woodridge) knocks off Potok to get out, then I like skleres to beat Ivy (Norton) to claim the other consolation spot.

138: Utley (Alliance) clears Muir-Johnson (Revere) in the semi after beating West (CVCA) in the quarter, Muir-Johnson clearing an open top quarter. Yoho (Woodridge) clears Dohse (Southeast) and then McKeon (Lake Catholic) in the bottom half. Muir-Johnson gets out, McKeon beats West to get out.

145: Freeman (Lake Catholic) wins this weight in a walk, semi is aganst the Musci (SVSM)/Lewis (Ravenna) winner, which is Musci. Miller (West Branch) hits the final as well, clears Mason (Conneaut) in the semi; Mason has to beat Brunty (Crestwood) first round most notably to hit the semi. I have Musci getting out, and then I have Mason beating Brunty or Lewis to do the same.

152: D'Alesio (Canfield) over Vespucci (Crestwood) in the upper semi, Kelley (Hoban) over Langer (Lake Catholic) down low. The fact that Yoho (Woodridge) blew weight makes this district weight tolerable. I have Vespucci and Langer getting out in consolation.

160: Poullas (Canfield) clears the top, beats Moore (Canton SOuth) in the quarter and then Rodriguez (Geneva) in the semi. McIntire (SVSM) clears the bottom, it's over Myler (Alliance) in a semi, Myler/Biery (Marlington) a swing quarterfinal. Rodriguez over Biery in one go-to, Myler over Rogan (losing to McIntire first round), Moore, or Eyre in the other.

170: Schenk (Perry) clears Davis (Alliance) and then Heath (SVSM) to make the final. Crawford (Canfield) over Vetturini (West G) and then Robinson (Woodridge) to make the final as well, robinson over Blackmon (Canton South) in the other bottom quarter. This shapes up to be a rather deep district weight class. I have Heath over Blackmon (or Vetturini) to get out, while Robinson beats Davis.

182: Johnson (Alliance) over Westover (Field) and then Cirslip (Ravenna) to hit the final up top, Cooper (Canfield) over Lassnick (Lake Catholic) in the lower semi. Crislip gets out, so does Lassnick by beating Westover.

195: Martin (Alliance) bounces back from upset loss in sectional semis to make district final. Stein (Canfield) joins him there. I have Crissman (SVSM) and Baker (Revere) making state. This is a weak weight class beyond the first two.

220: This is a wide open, but lacking state level talent weight class. Then again, you could say that about 220 statewide this year - at least in D1 and D2 (and mostly D3). Getting out are Walker and Delgarbino thorugh the front, then Gallagher and NOrris through the back.

285: Sharp (West Branch) vs. Giordano (Canfield) meeting in their third final over the course of five weeks at the district tournament. Beyond those two this is a mediocre weight class. Just give me Kelly (Revere) and Franks (Tallmadge) to get out in a weight that about three other kids could qualify as well, none of them doing anything in Columbus.

Isaac Yoho quit wrestling shortly after his loss at the state duals...not because of a weight issue.

I really hope this is not true. I have been impressed with Woodridge as a team all year. I find it hard to believe that someone would quit right before Sectionals who was ranked as high at 5th in the state because of a dual meet lost.

Again, I am hoping the above quote is fiction. A lot of kids crack this time of year, but quitting a week before sectionals, No way.
Can't believe. His team was counting on him, can't believe a kid would let his team down like that because he couldn't handle a dual meet lost.

That's not a bad loss at all. Torres (Wauseon) is a high quality wrestler! Nothing he should be ashamed about. EVERYONE losses. It's part of life.

Yeah, I saw him at the St.V's sectional towards the 152lbs final and he said "It was my decision" as soon as he saw me. It is upsetting to hear, because he was a high quality wrestler but he said he might be back next year.

Cradle! Decatur got in on deep shots 4-5 times, just couldn't finish. Last shot got in deep again, Hunter got to the side and cradled him up.

Kosco stunned the crowd in what was anticipated to be the best match of the night was definitely the most exciting. Poullas and Yoho were two most impressive wrestlers IMO

Pretty positive reviews on the officiating from North Canton. That was definitely one of the better district crews. Just wondering if Alliance was just as positive.
