...or we just congratulate them regardless! They're kids, they didn't lobby for an all district selection, they earned their spot like everyone else.

Go to the Buchtel forum and congratulate Bell, Drummond, Hubbard and Cosey...oh wait, they don't have one.

Who did you guys lose for seniors this year? Springfield had 1. Our kicker, but he will be replaced by his brother.

Well, they need to replace you guys on their schedule no matter if you stay D2 or move down to D3. I would also say that they will need to replace Tallmadge since I know that they are moving down.

Ellet loses an outside linebacker and DE on defense. They lose the left tackle, center and WR on offense. One senior didn't play except on kickoffs. Ellet will not give up the rivalry game with Springfield for a couple computer points. You have to draw the line somewhere.

I would, but then again I'd like to see the development of a program where winning is expected, not hoped for. If that means saying goodbye to Yost and Springfield, please allow me to hold the door!

Ellet could be in a world of hurt trying to qualify for the playoffs next year.

The last list of enrollment numbers I saw looked like this for Ellet's 2013 opponents...

Canfield 377
Alliance 333
Tallmadge 337
Springfield 327
Buchtel 301
East 358
Garfield 426
Firestone 488
Kenmore 378
North 318

Possible cutoff numbers for 2013...Division II (410-599), Division III (288-409). That gives Ellet two D2 opponents and eight D3 opponents in an already terribly weak league. Ellet is at 453 and would stay D2.

New enrollment figures will be out in the spring of 2013.

Do you actually think that Sprinfield will actually give you any sort of game next year? And if you do play them, you will only get a couple of computer points. Drop them like a bad habit. And give them back that ole shoe.

Springfield should drop Ellet. Ellet hasn't carried any value in Harbin points in the last 20 years. What does the city have to offer?

Maybe Springfield should pick up Green. After all Garfield the 3rd or 4th best team in the city series put it to Green five out of six years until Green wisely dropped them two years ago.

And they beat Ellet 8 out of the last 10 years, and SHS beat Ellet 2 out of the last 4 years. I would put a * beside both those wins from Ellet. You know the transfers, and ineligible players. Or SHS would of won four in a row, cheaters.

Have some facts before you speak.
Last 7 games vs Garfield, Ellet is 4-3
Last 15 games vs Springfield, Ellet is 11-4
That Ellet girl/guy who dumped you must have been good. Move on.

OKay, Ellet, it is now 2013, and you are officially DEFENDERS of the CITY SERIES CHAMPIONSHIP. Are you up for the challenge?

Wow! Going for the teeth huh? Ellet would smash on green. The city is down but better than you think. Buchtel plays a monster schedule and they will be better next year city champs is possible but ellet has way too much returning. 90% of last years team will be returning a team that made the playoffs. Dont even include a sub par green team into the equation. Springfield win the last four years? A player who slipped through the cracks by an error on the coaches. The player who was not eligible hardly played wouldnt of made a diff in a 63~6 drubbing. Know before you speak esp when green is down right terrible.

Ellet would have beaten Revere, and Cloverleaf in the SL last year. 2 wins in the SL. Needed a late disasterous/ blocked punt late in the game in beating Garfield 7-0, needed a late miracle to beat Buchtel, and they are supposed to be untouchable this coming year? I just cannot say that without a smile coming across my face.

That isn't true. I just don't think they could beat Green.

I do think they can beat Springfield.

Garfield beat Green 5 out of 6 games since they started playing about ten years ago. During that time Garfield has been at best the third or fourth best team in the city. Plus I saw Green play twice. Ellet would beat Green.

I don't think so man. I think Ellet would struggle with anyone in the SL except for Revere and maybe Cloverleaf.

This year probably would, last year probably not.

Umm....why are we even wasting time with this, they don't play this year!

Ellet need only worry about Springfield, Tallmadge, Alliance, Canfield and the rest of the City Series.

Green, Suburban League, Cloverleaf...who give a $h!t!

They'll beat everyone when Haverstick gets there so it doesn't matter!

Both,

They wouldn't have last year and I don't think they could next year, if they played.

Why not try and get a series with them. I'm sure they would drop Kenmore for you guys.

I've seen the 8th graders play, they're not that impressive. Good, but not dominant.

I wouldn't be opposed to playing Green again. Ellet dropped two competitive games back in '01 and '02, 21-14 and 10-0.

What were you wearing when the Ellet 8th graders played St. Christine's last fall, I know you were there. Was that you in the all green track suit or how about the heavier set fellow with Tallmadge gear on sitting with two kids?

As a team they may not impress you (nothing anti-Tallmadge usually does) but they do have some talented players.
