Ok, i'll go first. lol

1. Olentangy Liberty- More state level guys back than anyone else, plus Mark and Zucker.

2. Dublin Coffman- They should be solid return some good wrestlers and are well coached.

3. Marysville- I think they return enough to be in the top Three. And I'm sure they will have a few tough new faces in the lineup.

4. Hilliard Darby- They have some scorers back and will be better than folks think

5. Westerville North- I know they lost some key guys, but it's hard to go against coach Grant he's one of the best.

Others:
UA- Avoid the injury bug.
Watkins- Could be top Five.
Lancaster- Great group of returners and incoming wrestlers

1. Olentangy Liberty is my clear number one just due to the firepower behind Lawson, Kharcalva, Saito, Brady, and a newly emerged Davin Lambert I think OLIB is a heavy favorite

2. Lancaster some may laugh at this but incoming freshman Micah Norwood a JH state champ, Logan Agin, Cray miller, Aj Mcritchie make for a solid squad

3. Dublin Coffman between Yost, Murrary, Bauman, Lughman , the rocks will maintain a winning tradition and could even out our 3-4 SQs

4. Marysville although they lose the firepower of Sharp, and Reed they still return some hammers. Connoly, and Marsh could make something happen this year and with the phenomenal coaching they have I think I see the Monarchs only going up.

5. Westerville North although losing Grant, Alicardi, Jenkins, I still think the warriors are in top 5 shape. With Seibert and potterf they will lead a solid squad and it will be a burden to keep those two off the podium come March.

I put together some numbers and created a formula and this is how I have them currenlty ranked. keep in mind this does not include incoming freshman, studs who did not wrestle in districts, etc This is only kids that participated in Districts.

Tournament Rankings:
1.) Liberty - even with out factoring Carson in, they have way to many returning point scorers.
2.) Marysville - They return the most kids from districts as well as several hammers.
3.) Lancaster - Return a bunch of kids, including a state placer and state alternate.
4.) Olentangy - They only retrurn one hammer, but have a bunch of solid kids returning as well.
5.) Darby - They lost a bunch, but return a couple very good wrestlers and some experience.

Duals Rankings:
1.) Liberty (likely lots of bonus points)
2.) Marysville (they will be solid across the board)
3.) Olentangy - Again solid across the board
4.) Coffman - Bonus points likely put them here
5.) Lancaster - If they plug a couple holes they could easily move up.

Composite Rankings:
1.) Liberty (duh)
2.) Marysville (double duh)
3.) Olentangy
4.) Lancaster
5.) Coffman

I show Marysville close to Liberty, but again that does not account for Carson. Assuming he is a state placer, that puts a much wider gap between the schools. Both schools are substantially ahead of the rest of the pack.

The next group is fairly tightly packed with teams like Lancaster, Coffman, Olentangy, Darby and Watkins.

I think North loses too much to be a major factor next year, but will lead the next group that includes teams like Deleware, Upper Arlington and others. I expect Deleware to be on the upswing though.

After Medina and Brecksville, I will update the numbers and see what gets spit out.

An early top ten could look like this:
1.) Liberty (Not only do they have fire power, but possibly had the best JV team in the area as well last season).
2.) Marysville (They constantly reload)
3.) Lancaster (Young and talented)
4.) Coffman (Will be interested how they do now that the Demas Era is over, but they are coached really well)
5.) Olentangy (Young, talented, and battle-tested)
6.) Westerville North (I could see them moving up; they always reload and have great depth)
7.) Watkins Memorial (Was impressed with their talent last season)
8.) UA (They are the darkhorse... At full strength, they may move up)
9.) Delaware (They were young last season, but the young guns will be a year older)
10.) Davidson (They have 3 big point scorers to go with a program that always has solid depth)

Of course I'm biased, but Orange has 7 DQs and 3 district alternates back, including a state placer. I think they're bouncing around that 7-10 spot. But we'll see.

I've been to the Cardinal WC a few times...I'm excited to see the progress our Central District guys are making!

I have them falling in the 7-11 range. I see them only returning 32.5 points but had a young team, so it will be a testament to coaching if they can jump up into the top 7.

I wouldn't underestimate Dublin Scioto...Have had the pleasure of working with a few of their kids at Cardinals Wrestling Club. Tough, young group.

Good point about Scioto. They had some good results last season and have some young studs!

I have Sciota ranked #15 in my Darby tournament rankings.

I have Coffman ranked #5 in my dual team rankings, #6 in tournament and #5 over all in my composite rankings.

I know Shawn is a HUGE fan of July rankings. I expect him to be all over April ones. I bet he's at his keyboard right make his 9th edit to his pre-season 220 rankings.*

*This might be fake news.
