Worst customer service that you have experienced?

With the news about the man being removed from the United Airlines flight, what is the worst customer service that you have experienced?

Mostly in restaurants. There has been probably 3 times in my life I've left no tip. It takes exceptionally bad service for me not to leave a tip. In most cases it's so extreme that it would be very unlikely I return to that place.

The absolute worst I've ever had was at The Cabana.

I will spare the details of this story as it's so ridiculous you'd not likely believe me, but Empire flooring was the worst experience I ever had. I ended up firing them mid-job and hiring someone else to finish the job. It was an awful experience and if you ever need flooring, steer clear of Empire. There are plenty of other places out there.

AT&T over the years. I eventually found out that it is a total waste of time to go into the store and better to just call the customer service hotline, because the people in store are untrained and highly unmotivated to try and actually do anything.

I've had horrible experiences on Scandinavian Airlines and Aer Lingus. Hope to never fly them again.

It's without a doubt the worst run restaurant I have ever been to. Blows my mind they still let teenage girls run the place and seat people. I've waited over an hour to be seated a couple times before eventually leaving to go someplace else, all while multiple empty tables sit unoccupied and the girls at the front text on their cell phones. And all that for what is basically bar food.

The Northfield BMV is terrific. Worth an extra drive for those on the south side.

Agreed 100%

But the worst I ever had was at a place called V2.

I'll certainly never walk in there again.

Panera is a close second.

Wow, you guys have gotten lucky w/ the BMV. Many have had issues as that scene in Zootopia was spot on to most experiences. I go to a location in the Heights where they have an employees that is so obese she has a modified office chair with the handles taken off and she slowly wheels around behind the desk to do all her tasks, never gets off of her keester. Also the busiest time is during lunch and guess when these folks take their lunch break? Kind of like going to a fast food restaurant and having their employees take lunch during lunch. It will never get better as these employees would call AFSCME if there were to be a work place change and would be all over the state if they made them modify any aspect of this office.

Another one to add in light of recent news, United Airlines.

From a different perspective, I worked retail at Radio Shack as Christmas help during college one year in the early 90's. I was the only one in the store, slow weekday afternoon when a guy came in with a plastic bag with 5 very used CB's, thats a citizen band radio for your millennials! lol He owned 5 log trucks and said he needed to return them. He had a receipt, they were 3 years old, dirty where they had been installed, and he wanted his money back! I said, ummmm, no you cant return them! He got mad, had a cup of pop in his hand, threw it at me and ran out of the store! I promptly jumped the counter and chased him into the parking lot! He managed to beat me to his truck and locked the door as I pounded on the window and door with my fists and feet as he drove off! I was reprimanded for leaving the store unattended! lol

Out here in the country our DMV never has more than a couple people in it. 2 workers. Always a pleasant experience. You city slickers are doing it all wrong!

No real horror stories that I can think of involving me as the customer. My wife did stiff this one server on the tip at Rooster's. New chick, had the right look, but boy did she not fit in. Had a disgusted look on her face from the time she came to our table, went out of her way to let us know she didn't want to be there, and never said "Thank you".

Quite an anomaly, the Rooster's we go always has the best servers - always polite, friendly, pleasant, and professional.

Almost forgot!

Had TW cable since 1991 - two years ago I called then about getting my bill lowered, it had crept up steadily over the previous two years - $40 increase in that time for the basic digital tier. I told her I wasn't happy with the price increase, the rep I spoke to was unsympathetic and said she couldn't do anything about it.

Dropped TW, got DirecTV. As soon as that dish was operational, another TW rep calls, begging me to come back - NOW he wants to give me a substantial break on my bill, and want to know "what it would take" to get me back.

I flat-out told him his company should have cared a lot sooner about keeping me as a customer earlier, and his fellow rep is the reason they lost my business. Probably won't matter, and the original rep I talked to will probably get a bonus.

Original Montgomery Inn. Been there several times and they always have the same attitude "just order the ribs, pay us and get the eff out" The Boat House is the exact opposite, always had great service and a whole different vibe.

Calling Montgomery Inn overrated has become the "in" thing to do over the past 3-4 years. I still say it's got the best ribs in the city, and even for those that disagree, you really can't say the ribs aren't good.

No way. Eli's has far better ribs. Montgomery sauce is horrible in my opinion. I've only eaten there once years ago and that was enough. Hell, Famous Daves rib sauce is right up there with Montgomery. They made a rep way back when they were kinda the only game in town. Out dated, overrated and just a "tradition" for many that go there. The way BBQ has taken off in the last few years Montgomery doesn't even compare once you've had real ribs.
