330 pm on a Monday and he is in indiana. Wonder if he is skipping classes and was planning on not coming back. Xavier has had more arrests than uc. Thug life baby. At least he didn't drop trough, get on a table and scream don't you know who I am after 3 beers

Denver Nuggets may be interested

Yeah cause public drunk and possession are comparable to assault, assaulting a bouncer, threatening an officer, DUI, disorderly conduct, avoiding arrest... UC's had their fair share over the years.

They're college kids, get off your high horse and give it a rest.

Everyone remembers Bob Huggins and the UC 0% graduation rate

An arrest is an arrest. A criminal is a criminal.

He's an idiot though. He likely wasn't going to be drafted but this all but seals his fate. While the possession charge itself isn't a huge deal, the fact he is dumb enough to be around it and get caught just a couple months from the draft while being a fridge 2nd round pick will scare most teams away. Poor judgement.

Missing a whole lot of sarcasm in that post. I'm also not a UC fan.

And that horse, I would punch it

I'd put the conduct of UC's basketball team up against XU's over the last 10 years without a doubt.

Has there even been one off the court issue at UC under Cronin? Nothing immediately comes to mind.

Only thing off the top of my head is Lance and him pushing a girlfriend down the stairs but that was before he committed (aka the only reason he ended up at UC, every top tier school backed off) and then again after he had left to the team but before the draft.

It's not the seriousness of the charge, it's the fact his lack of judgement and utter stupidity to be around it and get caught with it months from a draft in which he's already unlikely to be selected. And a pattern of behavior of XU players lately.

Yes, a 22-yr. old college student showing a lack of judgement and utter stupidity. That must be a FIRST, dontcha think?

Oh, the humanity!

If it makes you feel any better, BOTH of his parents served in the Marines. I think they're going to impart a little bit of their wisdom into him, just to be sure he gets the message.

Of course not. However, most 22 year old college student's are trying to get a multi-million, multi-year deal from an organization to play a sport. Not sure how you can't see the difference between Joe Student getting caught with a joint vs. Trevon Blueitt who is a fringe draft pick getting caught 2 months before the draft? Athletes are always held to a higher standard. Stop acting stupid.

A regular student would be more likely to lose out on a job opportunity for a drug arrest than an athlete. I doubt any teams really would care in the long run. He wasn't gonna be drafted before this, he won't be drafted this season after this. If he was going to be picked by someone, this misdemeanor wouldn't change that

He's been in Indy preparing for draft activities. Can likely do most if not all of his remaining semester classwork remotely

It doesn't help his situation as he's not talented enough for teams to just ignore, especially if they feel his off court behavior could be a problem. No one wants to deal with off court issues for a marginal talent.

Sure it would have. If he were a for sure first rounder/lottery? Then no, no one cares about this. But a fringe 2nd rounder? Character and judgement matters.

We have all said that he has shown a lack of judgement here. Yes, he will pay the consequences for his actions. For some reason, that doesn't seem to be enough for you.

What, exactly, do you expect to happen to him?
