Funny you mention this because the liberals that are ESPN are making a big deal now because baseballs stars are "faceless".

I think alot of this is due to the media scrutiny, so it's rich for ESPN to wonder why guy keep their heads down and stay in the middle of the road.

And I agree Irish, golf has about as bland, boring guys playing now as ever. Like tennis, who are these guys? But golf has always been a country club sport with very few commoners who make it to that level.

Ha ha! I wondered why there wasn't much said about Johnson stepping down yesterday (no pun intended). You think about other sports where guys play with broken bones, sprained ankles, etc. As far as we know, Johnson didn't sustain any serious injuries falling down the stairs, other than embarrassment and being sore. It was even mentioned he'll be fine in a few days??

Imagine Tom Brady passing on the Super Bowl because he's sore??

It was all over the radio and news all morning long, right up til the time he was supposed to tee off.

I was listening to the Rich Eisen Show and they reported that he hadn't shown up to the practice range. That was around 1pm maybe? They were treating it like it was a big deal.

If you've ever played golf, you know you can't play if your back is messed up. Another ridiculous thought from 14Red.

yeah, I'm sure DJ was really "good to go" and this was just a convenient excuse to not have to play.

You can play. But like he said "I have no chance". Golf is a game of accuracy and finesse and you can't rely on a teammate to bail you out.

That's a pretty bold generalization regarding back injuries. Not at all the truth in a lot of cases.

There is no way that he would have been competitive with the injury and he risked further injury if he did play. Once you back goes so does your career. Smart decision by him.

Sergio Garcia making a Friday move, not a fan so when he finds a way to choke that will be fine with me. I would keep an eye on the English guys, McIlroy and Rose. Maybe dare I say Rickie Fowler?

Every year recently it seems doesn't it? After two days he is in the hunt and by the 3rd and 4th he starts to tire. But I'd love to see him win it.

There was a time when Tom Watson did the same.

I like rooting for those old dogs.

Charlie Hoffman looks like the typical golf league player. Does he work for waste management?

I have a feeling Ryan Moore will be in it at the end today. I don't think the winner comes out of the last pairing.
