Words I thought I'd never say: JACKSON is playing for it's third state championship this decade!

Bring it home Bears.

I see a lot of similarities between these teams, the obvious difference is the pace of play. Which style will prevail? Or which team can play best at the others pace.

I like Jackson's chances in either style. They average over 70 a game, but can also grind it out if they have to.

Go Bears! Really amazing what they've been able to do the last 10ish years in becoming the power they are now.

Agree, they can beat Moeller at their own game if they have to. Moeller is damn good though.

I want to apologize to Moeller. I thought P. Central was going to kill Moeller. Congratulations

I'm having flashbacks to 7 years ago... Chuck Byers. Alex Barlow. Griff McKenzie. Losing by like 20 in the state finals.

This won't help Yankee, but two weeks before that 2010 hoops final Jackson's Speech & Debate team also won the state title.

Fast forward to this year, guess who won the state title in Speech & Debate just two weeks ago? Kinda eerie, eh?

Final AP poll before the tournament had Moeller with 24 first place votes to Jackson's 1. No other team received a vote.

Big advantage Moeller. It's a game of nerves. Just the edge of having been there. Unable to nail free throws was not a good sign for Jackson when they're competing against players, fans and coaches that have been there. Big coaching job ahead for Jackson that measuring the net isn't going to solve. How will they handle a game that's a couple points apart no matter how hard you try, when the buzzer is approaching.

Could be a good one.

I have been saying since the start of the season that Jackson is the best team in the State.

I still say that Jackson is the best team in the State.

Jackson by 10 points.

As much as I'd like that to be the case, I think this is a tight game. Moeller is well coached and athletic. Should be a great game.

FYI, those who don't already know, OHSAA has a streaming update for the games. Good way to follow if you aren't there or by a radio.

http://ohsaalivestats.com/sports/mbk...70325_2rkc.xml

Click on Scoreboard, then scroll down to your game and select "Live Stats".

Not sure I'm following all of this, as the last time either team, coaches, or their fans were in Cbus was 2010, so I'm not seeing this "advantage" that Moeller has. Only difference is Jax' coach was an asst on the 2010 team, whereas I presume Moeller's coach was head coach at that time. I guess that may be a slight advantage, but that's about it. None of the players on either team have been on this stage before. FWIW, Jax was down 1 inside 3 minutes left to a good Copley team in their District semi and they found a way to win by 4, making 2 clutch FT with 15 seconds left to seal it, so they have been tested this tourney. I agree about the nerves, but I suspect both teams will be experiencing them equally. Both teams stingy on D the past 5 games, giving up an avg of 49-50 points apiece. I'm looking forward to what I expect to be a great final.

I'm picking Moeller, but I hope I'm wrong. Go Bears ! Best of Luck to Ya ! Anybody know if WHBC.com will air this game, their site doesn't list it. Last nights game wasn't listed either, but they did air it.

Referring mostly to experience with the overall championship atmosphere across sports. That translates (MY opinion). As I posted on the semi thread, when playing a strong defensive team, it's a game of nerves, it wears a team out. Last game played out just like I posted it would. From fan to coach to players, there's ways to deal and help deal. These are a couple things I find to be in Moeller's favor. All earned. No slight intended.

We've seen several examples already, that team with little experience in the atmosphere and the poor foul shooting, the weaker legs at the end... these are issues of handling the atmosphere.

I really expect this to be a Hoosier classic. Good team ball to the end. Hope I'm right.
