I find it interesting that commercial lengths will be longer and stoppages will be fewer so essentially the commercial time during a game will remain the same.

The amount of comments about Kaepernick are staggering. So many sensitive snowflakes.

Maybe they should let people pick the game they want to watch. I have to pirate games

Gotta keep the money flowing one way or another. I think fewer breaks is a great idea.

That's exactly what they're going to eliminate it sounds like. Or reduce at least. Good move.

You know something is bad when Roger admits it

There is a fix the NFL can make that would drive up revenue and and make games move quickly but for some reason they are highly resistant, baseball and soccer style advertisement boards during live action. The advertisers love this because it shows up on all action including post game replays and is DVR proof plus the fans don't mind it because it is in the background, unlike uni patches, and speeds up pace of play. Win/win all around yet Roger and company just don't want to see those logo ed walls use any other way.
Games in London have them>
Yet in the states we have to have more team name identified marks>

From a Rams preseason broadcast. Really glad this hasn't caught on yet. But the CFL already has a lot of ads on the field and it's terrible

Are those actually on the field or are they graphics?

Is that a real ram to the left of the score overlay?

Is the turf permanently red inside the 20 or do they stop play to paint it once a team gets into the red zone?

Well, that makes sense, thanks for clarifying. I'm pretty sure the cfl is just a graphical simulation, but does anyone know for sure?

I agree with this. It isn't the length of the breaks, its the amount of them.
While at a game I don't mind the breaks after a TD and EP. Perfect time right after the TD to do what you gotta do.

Viewership is fine, we just need to try to cut down the number of replays in games. Humans officiate games, mistakes will happen. Unless it's on a scoring play or a turnover, play on. Too many sideline receptions/ drop/ catch reviews. The flow of the game is compromised. No coach red beanies, official in the press box makes all calls on reviews.

I have no problem with reviews, just define a catch better and speed up the decision making on them.

Frankly, if you can't tell within the first five seconds of reviewing a play, then it should remain as called on the field

Maybe not within five seconds, but I get your point. If it takes super super super slow mo, in various angles then yeah it is out of hand.
That is what drives me nuts with baseball replay as well.

I don't mind NFL replays as much as college. At least in the NFL a coach has to decide if an ordinary play on where to spot the ball that may be just a yard or two difference midway through the 1st qtr is worth taking one of your challenges.
College replay I think is much worse with so many stoppages on regular plays that don't mean a whole lot in the grand scheme of things.
