Is Tiger Woods Done with Golf?

A lot of rumors that Tiger will not tee it up at Augusta this year, in the early 2000s this would have been unthinkable as the Maters was the one tourney he really zeroed in as the must win of the year. To me the guy was a product of steroid use and his inability to recover form an injury certainly plays into this theory. Looks like Jack's major record will be right up there with some other long standing sports records.

He certainly may have been on steroids. But he was 6'1 and 190 lbs soaking wet in his prime. Basically any young guy who lifts a few times a week and eats healthy can attain that.

That hairline is unfortunate though. Time for either the Jordan shave or the Lebron hair transplant.

...Given his physical issues, he just can't perform at a competitive level in golf anymore, so he needs to walk away from the game until he reaches the age when he can play on the senior tour.

He's been done for a long time.

Found it interesting when i heard today that he hasn't done squat since they started testing for PEDs.

Coincidence?

I think that baseball was very unfortunate to be put under the microscope for steroid usage because I believe most other sports have a serious problem too.

There were times that Tiger Woods looked like he was on his way to being a bodybuilder rather than a golfer. I would be surprised to find out it was just a healthy diet and new workout regimen that provided those developments.

The reality is enhancement drugs are everywhere. We live in a small town. The local gym where all the young guys I used to coach work out is full of 20 year old guys that all look like Conan the Barbarian now. The reality is, they ALL don't have those genes. It's ridiculous. Same with college wrestling. When a guy goes jumps up 3 or 4 weight classes in 6 months and is ripped... we all know what's happening there. I know a few guys that wrestle in college. It's a small community in reality. Everybody knows just about everybody. And the rumors that Half of the Buckeye squad has "help" are too numerous to ignore.

Tiger's in the bad spot of hurting both physically and mentally. His body is continually breaking down. When he's on the course, he's developing things like the short game yips and has no confidence in his swing given all of the changes he has made. I don't think he'll ever be able to get the physical and mental in order at the same time.

At this juncture, even if he shuts in down, I don't think he can ever completely regain the legacy given the last 4 or 5 years.

Sad. Actions have consequences. Only other athlete I have been more disappointed in is Lance Armstrong. Maybe time will help.

Tiger's failing was personal, not professional. It had professional implications (seemed to harm his game), but Armstrong cheated, lied about his cheating and got rich and admired in the wider community from his cheating/winning. It is even possible that Armstrong acquired cancer from EPO et al.

Tiger...Vick...Clarett. Off the field failings AND punished plenty. Don't get the ongoing hatred.

He really has been, and with little indication it was coming. Still a shocker. I thought he'd have passed Jack by now. It really looked like close to a sure thing.

you're a serial enabler, so no surprise

Spot on with Armstrong. As low as the baseball steroid cheats.
