Really, really good youth and junior high programs with talent that is starting to trickle up into the high school level. Within the next 2-3 years I'd expect Springboro along with Miamisburg and Lebanon to vault into the upper echelon of the GWOC.

Wasn't this last guy only there 1 season? What has happened there lately? It is like their 4th coach in 3 years, isn't it?

Could you elaborate a little more on what has happened in the last few years?

Holweger has been at Springboro for 4 years with 4 winning records, sounds like he just said that is enough. A good job is open

Ben Holt stepped down at Dalton. Look for him to fill the Wooster Triway opening.

That may look really bad after he was interviewed claiming he stepped down at Dalton to spend more time with wife and kids.

Just saw that. Of course he says the hazing situation didn't come into play. I don't believe it. I think he totally lost support of the community this season as evidenced by the crowds...especially the students. Wonder if he will look to move as a superintendent too soon.

I agree. I was amazed at how small their crowd was at districts compared to Jackson Center and Fort Loramie. It looks to me like he couldn't shake the hazing situation, regardless of what he claims.

I want some info on Tri Village, nice little program from the outside looking n. What did they lost to Graduation? How do these young men look for the future basketball wise? If the right guy is hired can Tri Village step right back up and be a top level program, or will this be more of a process?

Fort Recovery is set to approve the hiring of Michael Bashore tonight at the board meeting.

Bashore was at Greenville, but left a year ago. I would be a bit leary of hiring someone that quit a year ago to spend more time with his family....now he wants to get back into coaching after just one year. He coached boys and girls at Versailles prior to Greenville.

Spending more time with family could mean any number of things but maybe your right.

Good coach from what I've seen, but I understand what you're saying. I thought last year and feel pretty reaffirmed now that he probably walked away from Greenville because Guillozet graduated and this would have been his last year with Gable. IMO, he wanted to get out before the talent really started to slip.

I think the job is attractive because the kids that will be freshmen have gone through junior high undefeated.

Anyone have knowledge about the Woodward, Clark, or Sycamore openings?
It's been kind of quiet.
