I'm a big Jackson fan but I had no idea where Kyle Young was on the county career scoring list until it was mentioned in this article
(http://www.cantonrep.com/sports/2017...oys-basketball) from the Repository about Jackson's win over Lake Friday night. Maybe that had something to do with this thread.

What will your next conspiracy theory be drama queen?

Im a Jackson fan, and to me it seems like you are either trolling and wanting a reaction from the McK fans (which I love) or are a little delusional. Career seems to say lifetime achievement. Gary Grant was a professional for many years, who played basketball at Michigan and was Big 10 player of the year. I hope and keep my fingers crossed Kyle can achieve some of these accolades but might be difficult. So had a great Jackson Career... check, is an incredible high school player... check, is one of the best players in the state... check. Better career than Gary Grant not sure i can check that one.

Congratulations to Kyle Young, quite an accomplishment to even be mentioned with Gary Grant which means he's an outstanding player. Keep it up.

One thing we're also forgetting is Grant played in a different era, no three point line until the 87-88 season for Ohio High School, and he long gone by then, now I'm not sure how many three balls Young has made but let's just be happy for the kid and his future.

Schedules now have 22 regular season games. They used to be 20. So players today are getting 6-8 more games a career depending on how many years they play varsity.

You must be a young one. Around 1980 teams started playing 20 game seasons. Before that they played 18 games.

Since Grant played after 1980 that's not relevant.

Well you've never seen Kyle. He is obviously way better becuase he made more baskets. In more games. With a wide open offense. In the era of the three-point emergence.

Of course by using this logic, there are 21 players better than Kyle who have played in Stark.

Jacksons greatest ever happens to be Stark Counties all time leading scorer.

Kyle Young Ties Gary Grant 22nd All Time Stark County

The anger this thread has produced from McKinley fans is telling.

I don't recall any anger or charges of racism from Mck fans when out of the blue someone posted the all time series record between Jackson vs McKinley

I'm hoping that thread much like this one was just trying to state facts and nothing more nefarious like class resentment or things of that nature.

And yes, the reason this came up is because Josh Weir put it in his article about the Jackson/Lake game.

I never said Gary Grant wasn't a fantastic player. I was just pointing out the arrogance of Mck fans when it came to suggesting that Kyle would never touch his record.

Unfortunately Kyle won't be able to catch Bosley. If he did not get injured his freshman year we may have a different story.

Where is Raymar on the Stark County all time list?

If anyone has the top 25 it may be good to start a new thread on it.

Since the only purpose of the thread was to point out Kyle's ascension on the scoring list, where are the threads noting his climb past Nos. 21, 20 and 19?

Or was this thread just for when he passed certain players? Because that would mean there were other agendas.

I just take it as passing the notable one's. NBAer, Michigan alum, and McD's All-American. I don't know who 21, 20, and 19 and you may not either but Gary Grant at 22nd on the list is a big name.

Why do you have to be so obtuse? Ask those questions or make those assertions toward Josh Weir of The Repository. It was his astute knowledge and remarks that have led to this thread. I thank him for providing the information and would love to know the entire top 25 list.

Unfortunately, it doesn't fit your agenda.

Here is what I've been able to gather. Troy Taylor (McKinley) scored 1,311 points, but I can't confirm that his is 25th.

1. Jami Bosley, Jackson, 2,077
3. J.J. Kukura, Alliance, 1,681
4. John Namciu, Timken, 1,633
6. Raymar Morgan, McKinley, 1,553
7. Mark Henniger, Jackson, 1.552
11. Chad Mercer, Fairless, 1,440
12. Nick Weatherspoon, McKinley, 1,431
13. Evan Bailey, Jackson, 1,427
14. Kevin Finefrock, Central Catholic, 1,423
15. Chip Hare, Perry, 1,420
16. C.J. McCollum, GlenOak, 1,405
17. David Grim, Massillon, 1,403
18. Kyle Young, Jackson, 1,388
N/A Ricky Jackson, St. Thomas/McKinley, 1,383
N/A Jerry Prestier, Canton South/Fairless, 1,379
22. Gary Grant, McKinley, 1,361
23. Chester Harper, Alliance, 1,344
24. LePear Toles, Timken/McKinley, 1,331
