What's the word on the upcoming season? 10 games? Canton Cen Cath has a week 6 open date, wouldn't that be a no brainer to fill both team's schedule? What about Massillon for week 7?

...Mooney playing Massillon week 7 is a no brainer to everyone in NE Ohio, except for the people who sign the contracts at both schools apparently!

CCC stopped playing Ursuline years ago. Aquinas did too. I can't imagine them wanting to schedule Mooney.

I hope you are not indicating that CCC is scared to play either one of these teams, because the last time CCC played Ursuline in the regional finals Ursuline couldn't even score a touchdown and the score was 20-6. CCC has been better than Ursuline the last three years and I won't comment about Mooney because I didn't pay attention to them.

Excuse my confusion. Why would they refuse? 2 similar sized Catholics? Sorry if this is obvious to some. Central would rather have an open date? Seems like a great game for both.

CCC has Catholic boys that play football. Mooney has football players that go to catholic school.

You could apply that same logic to an awful lot of Catholic schools in NEO including a WHOLE CONFERENCE OF THEM in the Cleveland/Akron area.
I can't logically explain to you why there are so many that don't want to play.
It was nice to see Hoban return though.

So whats the problem?
CCC Week 3 opening- Ursuline, Hoban still available
CCC Week 6 opening- Ursuline available, Mooney (scheduled NY team) was available
CCC Week 7 opening- JFK available (CCC sched Cincinnati team)
is there a beef with other Cath schools or Youngstown or what? When did these teams stop playing regular season?

CCC was a regular early on but they haven't played regularly since the 60s
The last regular season game was 2005. Mooney beat CCC in the regular season and the playoffs that year.
Why they all don't play each other is a mystery to me.
Usually these things come down to someone getting their feathers ruffled over something small and then holding a grudge forever.
