They were supposed to be in Floridas top ranked tournament when a nationally ranked team backed out Jackson was asked to take their spot and they accepted. The nationally ranked team then decided they wanted back in so Jackson lost their spot. I believe it was Montverde who is always a nationally top 10 team.

Jesus. Owned by one of the Koch brothers. The principal/headmaster/whatever got a $1 million signing bonus. $126k football scholarship for an athlete only able to read at a third grade level. "Hundreds of thousands" for the debate team.

I wouldn't try any "Wash my Lexus" chants, Jackson...

Won't need to worry about chants. This team is going to get destroyed.

Have you been following the scores? I apologize for the lapse in humility, but so far, Jackson has been making just about ALL of their competition look like Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck.

There's a lot of basketball yet to played though and things are going to get much tougher.

Before closing the book on the level of competition, watch how Chartier's Valley out of PA and Oxridge Academy do the rest of the season.

FWIW - an interesting stat regarding this year's team is that so far through six games, the assists to field goals made is sitting at 65%. In other words, 6.5 of every 10 baskets made by the Polar Bears is the result on an assist. To me, that is a powerful stat that shows unselfishness by the players and good coaching. If that trend continues, it should bode well for the team as the season progresses. Against Oxbridge in the championship game, the ratio was an astounding 81% (22 assists for 27 made field goals)!

Question

How bad did they beat the 7 dwarfs? Heard Sleepy had 7 steals?

It creates lifetime memories for the kids! I'm sure every other team in stark County wishes they got to experience this type of trip. Not sure your angle of why you would try to stir up controversy?

Trying to be critical of Jackson's schedule is humorous. Last year was probably the best schedule in school history and the best in stark County since the back to back McKinley teams. This year there schedule is arguably toughest in county, although McKinley has a very nice schedule as well.

According to the internet the team they beat in the semis was 6-0 and the academy team they beat in the finals was 7-0. Chartiers Valley lost to this academy in the semis and they are a great program from PA (they were also undefeated going into this tournament). Jackson played and beat them in San Diego back in 2010, before Jackson won the state title. Posters making assumptions about teams they have never seen makes me laugh.

Agree. Ignore them. Just a mind trap better left unattended. Each state has a tournament to decide the champion. Focus on that and not this silliness. One game at a time, do your job.

Close but I would argue upgrade in terms of individual talent. This school has one of the best big men in the country

Schedule has been updated with results from Green game.

Also, Logan Hill's dunk in the Perry game is slowly becoming internet famous.

It's been picked up by different basketball accounts and has been retweeted close to 1,500 times.
