Oh good, were safe and sound for XC. Getting D1'd at such an early time in our young XC programs development would be absolutely devastating. Thank god competitive balance isn't in affect for XC or Track, as that would but us irreversibly over the top for good.

Carroll moves to D1, as well as Defiance.

In the NE I don't really see a lot of movement. Hawken' girls move to D2 , Gilmour's boys move to D3.....Defiance moving to D1 Tiffin is not good for them with only two teams advancing. Carroll on the other hand at least has a fighting chance with five teams advancing out of Troy

So, "When Pigs Fly" is better than "When Hell Freezes Over"?!

Well psychodad, with all due respect, we did qualify a team to regionals for the 2nd year straight. An impossibilty in D1. So I guess pigs can fly every so often.
And I assume you know who Tucker Pearce was dont you? I guess he was another pig that could fly...

Akron Springfield is predictably back in D2. Coach Kevin Gorby is a solid coach, who built a pretty decent team a couple years ago. He might finally get his shot at regionals.

^^^Found them. Literally half of DIII in SW Ohio is DII. 4 of the top 7 schools in the DIII region are DII.

Tiffin might end up 3 three team to state it looks like there are 6 more D1 in NW than there was last year. Should at-least increase the number of team making it to regional's to 8. I wonder if they will still run them all in one district race or break it into 2?

Troy DII might end up with 1 or 2 more qualifiers. DIII might lose one.

Granville is moving back to D1. Their girls can handle it. The guys, not so much. I love the changes they made last year to the tournament format, but I'm starting to agree with the people clamoring for a 4th division.

Besides Defiance and Norwalk what other boys schools are moving up to D-1. I didn't count a total of six when I scrolled through the enrollment figures.

I didn't notice Maumee the first time I checked. Who are the other three schools (to make six as mentioned earlier)?

Clyde, Sandusky and Toledo Scott (don't think they had 5 runners).
So NW D1 go a lot harder with addition of the 6th and 15 D2 schools that both have a lot of their top runners returning. Plus Whitmer and Perrysburg has all or nearly all of their top guys back. Ashland, BG and St. Francis always have a strong team but did lose some guys. Findlay and Anthony Wayne each only lose one of top 7 and both were close to making it to regionals last year. St. John lost a lot and didn't have much coming up so unless they step up their recruiting are going to struggle to compete at districts.
I hope they get three state spots and 8 or 9 to regionals. It will be interesting to see if they run 1 or 2 district races this year. I would like to see 2.
