I've thought all along that he was your head coach in waiting. I thought for sure that before he left for Cleveland that Marvin would be gone and Hue would be the HC.

2019.

Mikey Brown would love to bring in Hue as the HJ to jump start the franchise.

They are. Especially Atkins. Atkins is pretty much known to be one of the best interior defensive linemen in the league.

You are correct. I was meaning the current product on the field because of the injuries is poor.

The Bottom line is the Bengals as a whole are poor... .15 years and not 1 playoff win... The business model is not for championships...Its to put butts in seats and be semi competitive..

Ownership may even try to win a division..(That is the Brown family Super Bowl)... This years Bengals are a solid 8-8 team maybe 9-7 if they get some more luck...Play off wins...Not likely this year....But Bengal Fan..There is next year...

Last playoff win for the bengals was 01/06/1991, 27 years and 10 months ago. they are even money to get to 30 years with no playoff wins. that is an incredible record of futility.

Their business model is failing as the Bengals have been in the bottom 5 in attendance for years.

Attendance is a small pittance of what teams bring in.

Attendance might be failing but that doesn't mean the business model is.

If it's based on putting butts in seats it certainly is. Not sure how anyone could claim otherwise.

True, The Bengals do not look to fill the stadium but they do need Bengal fan to come out in the numbers they have the past few years. Revenue from TV, Merchandise, advertising, box seats/season tickets...Bengal fan enjoying $8 beers, Parking, etc. all adds up. Not to mention the sweet stadium deal they have...

Marvin Lewis has been the HC for 15 years and has not won a playoff game. Another poster stated correctly the franchise will be looking at a 30 year playoff win drought and that will most likely happen. It will be a struggle for this team to win 3/4 of the next 7. to finish .500 or 9-7. Under .500 is a real possibility.

Attendance was down last year across the league yet revenue was up. In fact it was a record year.

Not at all. The original argument was the league had a failing business model because in stadium attendance is down.

The NFL as a business is having record revenue even with attendance declining. That doesn't sound like a failing business model.

NFL gate receipts account for less than 16% of total revenue.

The business model clearly is not based on putting buts in the seats.

No, that was not the original argument. Not even remotely close.
