Andrew Donahue to Sem?

I apologize if this was already discussed, but I just read an article that said Donahue is heading to Wyoming Seminary?

Anyone have any scoop on this? I know Manzona is back in Ohio. Has anyone confirmed where Cernus will be next year? Something amiss at Culver?

Very interesting. No mention of Cernus in the intermat article.

Two of Ohio’s best in that loaded sophomore class.

Honest question here; I have honestly never heard of these two kids, so what makes them candidates for "Ohio's best"? Looked for them on the brackets in the state tournament and didn't see their names. Am I missing something?

They are both from Ohio. They were two of the best wrestlers in an extremely talented class - 2022. Both went to school in Indiana last year. Cernus won a state title. Donahue had a very impressive year as well.

Oh, so they were two Ohio kids that moved out of state. IMO I think one would have to compete in the state to be considered one of the best in that state. Like I said I've never heard of them. Either way now you have me interested. Have to do some research now. Thanks

Here is borofan’s ranking of this class. I have a few that I might shuffle around, but as you can see it is a pretty accomplished class already (after only one year). Had they stayed in Ohio, I am confident both Cernus and Donahue would be near the top of this list.

Last year, before I was aware that Cernus and Donahue were heading to Culver, I had Donahue in my Top 5 and Cernus was up there around #10. I found out that they were heading to Culver before I released my first set of class rankings, so neither were technically ever ranked. The 2022 class is very deep, it is also filled with a quite a few “redshirts” at the top, which is probably a big factor.

Seems to be the norm these days.

They are a 1st class Nationally Ranked High School program that competes with SPG , Blair Academy , St Ed's and a few others for Top 5 National Rankings year in and year out.
You can find them competing in several of the very best HS tournaments in the Country.
Produce numerous D1 recruits every year.
