Cox takes gold with 10-0 win, following 11-0, 11-0 and 11-0 matches. Is he the guy that everyone said couldn't score any points?

Snyder takes gold with a 2-1 win, and the #1 seed at worlds (SADULAEV, Russia is #2)

Dake has #1 seed locked at Worlds. Ringer has #3 seed locked if he beats Dake.

Here's how the USA seeds work out for Worlds (I think). These could change due to injuries or upsets in team trials for other countries.

57 Fix NS
61 Graff NS
65 Zain NS
65 (if protest affirmed and Yianni wins) Yianni NS
70 Green NS
74 Burroughs #2
79 Dake #1 / Ringer #3
86 PDIII NS
92 Cox #1
97 Snyder #1
125 Gwiz #4

The Ruskie, Zaurbek SIDAKOV, is the returning gold medalist. He beat Burroughs 6-5, and Chamizo 3-2 last year in the Worlds. Burroughs beat Chamizo 4-4 criteria for the bronze. The #4 seed, Avtandil KENTCHADZE, GEO, isn't bad either. He was runner up last year, losing 2-2 criteria to the Ruskie.

42-0 in 4 matches.... Everyone talks about Kyle, JB, Dake, and some DT being our country's best, but even by eye test, I'll take J'den. And before you say it, I realize that his bracket wasn't stellar, but wow he's good.

Havent looked at exactly how many points everyone gets, but if Ringer is behind Hasanov and Gadzhimagomedov in points he will be the #2. Gadzhi is hurt and won't be going to worlds.

Next year will be interesting. Either Snyder, Cox or Taylor won't be on the Olympic team. Would be nice if all three could make it.

Add in Dake and Burroughs. 2 out of the 5 won’t make it.

Yep, behind those two and Dake. So he'll be a #2 if he's in the lineup. Ringer will get 14 for a total of 40 pts.

Now, he raised some eyebrows by postponing the Ringer match (actually the date is set by Team USA) in mid August but is going on a trip to wrestle in Spain next week. I don't really care. I want the best on our team. If that's Dake, then I want Dake. If that's Ringer, then I want Ringer. BTW, some wrestling forums go page after page on this topic. Others go page after page on the Yianni/Zain controversy and protest. In Ohio we go page after page on Jim Jordan (this being my first mention of him).
Part of being best is ready to compete under less than perfect conditions. Champions compete when they are called. Dake has shown that not in his blood. How long before this weakness is shown on mat?

Alhamdulillah

It should be noted Russia is sending Sidakov and another wrestler, Kurbanaliev, to a tourney soon. If Sidakov loses head to head they will probably send Kurbanaliev, who wouldnt be ranked.
