Yea, but Blatt was actually trying to coach the team. LeBron is the coach, Ty Lue understands that. Blatt never did.

I'm unsure if that's true, because most of the things I've read indicated Blatt was afraid to criticize LeBron for anything or ever hold him accountable, whereas Ty Lue was perfectly comfortable getting on LeBron, and that's ultimately what earned him the respect of the players and got him the job.

But in the end, LeBron decides who he wants to be his coach and who he is going to give respect to. I think Blatt got an incredibly raw deal (and some bad luck with injuries in the playoffs), but the Cavs got a title last year so I am perfectly ecstatic with what Lue has done

Waaa.... Ty Lue may be doing alot of things, but coaching isn't any of the above. He's LeBron's chosen "compromise" between he and Dan Gilbert. Lue dresses in a suit and stands up and points his finger occasionally, but there is no coaching going on. LeBron decides who plays, who sits, what plays are run and it's all on him. He's complaining about the roster because that's something out of his control. Wonder if there's ever been a player/ GM??

It is shocking how ill-informed 14red is regarding every single topic.

Thanks for sharing...but we all know how Blatt got fired. And Lue, having no head coaching experience was LeBron's choice.

As many of you can already gather from my posts, not a big LeBron / Cavs fan...but good for him shooting down Barkley. These "experts" just shoot from the hip all the time with opinions and I'm glad to see a player fight back. Barkley was a bad representative of the NBA as a player and took that schick into his broadcasting career.

Regardless of his intentions (we already know Chuck is not an LBJ fan), everything he said regarding James and the Cavs was correct. LeBron wanted them to resign TT and JR. And the Cavs have the highest payroll in the league.

One could argue that LeBron threw a temper tantrum and went personal towards Barkley. Now I'm not a fan of either guy and I know Chuck made his comments to get a rise out of LeBron, but the substance of what he actually said was true.

So Boogie Cousins to New Orleans for Buddy Hield, Tyreke Evans, top 3 protected 2017 1st round pick, 2017 2nd round pick. Maybe a few fillers for salary but that's the gist of it. Shocked, really. Boston could have easily matched and bettered that offer.

Boogie goes from a bad team 9 games under .500 in the west to a bad team 11 games under .500 in the west. However, the two best big men in the NBA are on one team now.

Good move for NO but only if he resigns with them.

I have no idea why NO would want to take on that headache, and mortgaged what future they had for it. Cousins is a malcontent, and will just be a drag on the team.

I think it's probably a good move for both teams. Glad Boston didn't get him

Cal did say he thinks an all Kentucky team could win an NBA championship with KAT at SF.

Cal thinks any team he coaches can win an NBA championship. NBA players don't buy his antics.

Denver is currently 8th in the West at 25-31. Sacramento, Portland, New Orleans and Dallas are all 2-3 games behind. New Orleans will now easily slide into the 8th spot.

And if you think that does not scare the pants off of Golden State, you don't understand the matchup nightmare that this will be. GS has Draymond and nobody else big. Remember that the Pelicans also have Jrue Holiday at point. He is not Curry/Westbrook/Harden, but he is an excellent point guard.

GS vs. NO would be intriguing. I can almost guarantee that GS goes shopping for a big guy before the trade deadline.

NOP also has no depth. And their best swingman is Etwan Moore. It's a good matchup but this Pelicans team needs more than a couple good FA signings (or to win the lottery) to compete against GS.
