The tape on this thing is classic:

Miss State's top ranked recruit makes a cameo at the :30 second mark.

That's the thing, it is on tape, it's not a he said- she said event. 1 game? That's the same penalty for targeting.

People defending are preaching about how important the counseling is, but if it's that god dam important make him sit a year to focus on getting help.

Do what Oklahoma did where they suspended their running back for the entire season and wasn't allowed to participate in any team activities. Make him earn his way back. This would give time for him to completely give everything to his counseling and actually bettering himself as a human being. The SEC has already basically said they don't support the decision and are even moving to enhance their transfer rules to also include incoming freshman.

I think if the SEC makes it so these kids can't go to any other SEC schools then you'd see more teams willing to let a questionable player go. Currently the way things are Miss St would release him and then LSU sign him. Not right but how it is.

You need to look into the SEC transfer rules. If a kid commits a crime and is found guilty they can't transfer to another SEC school. Actually if a kid anywhere is convicted of a crime they can't transfer into an SEC school.

I'm aware however they currently don't cover recruits or players who haven't officially began their clock with the program. Therefore if Mississippi State released him he'd still be able to sign with any other SEC school willing to take him.

Correct but I don't see the NCAA making this a rule across the board. Not to say teams want to see a kid playing elsewhere no matter what but it's a lot easier when he isn't competing against you every single year.

In other news: Auburn decided, on a team vote, that players will not be punished for positive weed tests unless the punishment comes from the NCAA.

It looks like Hugh is staring at least at a suspension with the hope that it's enough penance to avoid being fired.

The NCAA’s protracted investigation of Mississippi has taken a new twist within the last month – investigators have interviewed players at two or more rival Southeastern Conference schools about their recruitment by the Rebels, multiple sources told Yahoo Sports.

NCAA Enforcement representatives have visited Auburn and Mississippi State, and perhaps at least one more SEC Western Division school, this summer to speak with players who were recruited by Ole Miss. The players were granted immunity from potential NCAA sanctions in exchange for truthful accounts of their recruitment, sources said.

I'll spell it out for you since, given your posting history you don't really understand football:

I made that post at 9:34 PM, about an hour and 15 minute after kick off, during the game. At that point:
-Ole Miss was winning 28-6
-Ole Miss had out-gained FSU 316 yards to 146
-FSU had 11 rushing attempts for 20 yards
-Cook had 10 rushes for 16 yards

You either 1) can't read time; or 2) you were watching a different game.

Or I was making a comment on what was currently happening in the game. You're not very good at this.

That's because people flock to Yappi to read your play-by-play of a game that's on national television.

Given there's only a handful of people there, he has to know who took the picture. I'd be surprised if whoever took the picture doesn't end up with some threats. I mean he did threaten to shoot a place up before. Snitches get stitches.
