Impacts of division changes

What teams moving divisions will have the biggest impacts this year in the HS soccer landscape?

Who moved up? Who moved down?

Some help folks?

Here in northeast Ohio I believe South Range moved up to D2 which should help out some smaller schools around here get a little further.

thanks!

NE Ohio moving up -- DII to DI
University School
Lake Catholic
Canfield
**Most likely Lake Catholic moves into the group that Shaker has won the last two years, and could immediately advance to being a district title/finalist contender; while University School may join that group or be stuck in the "catch all" group that St. Ignatius anchors
**Canfield goes from an easier sectional/district into most likely a deep group

NE Ohio moving down -- DI to DII
Aurora
Warren Howland
**Aurora and Howland both move out of the deep district they were part of in DI. Howland will likely move into a district where they are the instant favorite to make regional play. Aurora could end up in a group where they are instantly favorite/joint favorite as Lake Catholic and University School have moved to DI, or they could move into a group with CVCA and Revere

NE Ohio moving up -- DIII to DII
South Range
**They go into a group with Howland in all likelihood, so their runs to regional play are probably done. It opens up a DIII regional spot, and thins down the quality in NE DIII.

NE Ohio moving down -- DII to DIII
Warren Champion
**maybe Champion is the team that fills the "South Range" hole, not sure if they'll end up in the South Range sectional/district or the other one involving teams in the eastern part of NE Ohio

Thanks for the detailed breakdown. Impressive.

Howland certainly is relieved to be where they are at. Some think they are in trouble in a few years but I disagree.

Howland-South Range-Lakeview-Hubbard-Canfield could make for some real fun in the post season in D2.

D3 looks to be wide open without South Range. Champion is good, but i'm not sure they just kind of stroll through like South Range did.
