Please. I wanted the Cavs to win too, but you are just trashing Curry out of anger or something worse (stupidity).
Those 'nati-idiot clones were just trolling me, and it's kind of funny that you seem to have fallen for it. I will often ignore them selectively, but I'll respond to you. You took their bait, so you're kind of a victim. Maybe I could have said BJ Armstrong 2.0 ? Kerr did it with Champ teams longer, better, and also designed this GS offense. He seemed the obvious fore-runner to me.

I said "Kerr 2.0" because, similarly, both have/had a tremendous ability to shoot from 3 and benefit from cuts, motion, and the inside game. Their extreme high success rates shooting outside demand attention and similarly benefit those inside in the "pick your poison" sense. Both are/were relative defensive liabilities that require help at the other end of the floor.

The 2.0 (ignored by the trolls, and evidently you as well) comes in because Curry is obviously the "new and improved" version of essentially the same role when matching up with the best teams. He can drive and penetrate better than Kerr or Armstrong ever could, and he's quick enough to cherry-pick the passing lanes post-switch on defense or snag a long rebound. These are added dimensions to Kerr.

Curry's role in the scheme is now much the same as was Kerr's - once Durant becomes "the Jordan". Curry can't be the focus of the defense with Durant on the floor, so it's no coincidence that his "choke" games disappear this year.

Get it ?

I'd love to know if anyone has a little program to track the average total age/minute on the floor for each team in the playoffs. Cavs and Spurs had to be the oldest by quite a bit. Transition D is for young men. Regular season D didn't interest the Cavs too much at all this year. Flicking a switch isn't all that easy, but I understand why an 82 game season makes it tempting.

Missed this^ before.

You can't be this^ stupid. It should be obvious to anyone that isn't just looking for an excuse to make a stupid slam comment that when referring to simple box scores I meant this -

1. The trade makes sense because Kyrie is a scorer, but a high volume shooter to score. Yes, he'll get 40 some nights, but don't forget the 5-20 nights. There are alot of Kyrie Irving's in the NBA, in fact, many teams have guys who score lot of points taking alot of shots. Chris Paul would make sense because the Cavs have never had a legit point guard...

2. Which leads into why trading for Paul isn't a good idea... LeBron simply can't play with point guards. He dominates the ball so much that it's silly to put a point guard in the lineup.

Oh that means one thing he said, which can also easily be observed just by watching the Cavs enough, means he looks at numbers over what he sees? Have you ever read one of his posts? And then you ramble on about god knows what.

Then he is one of the most successful coaches in NBA history. I'd say this puts him over Jordan as the GOAT, if he's really the coach too.

Except he was specified at Player/ Coach. LeBron likes to have a scapegoat there to take the fall. Also like the comment that he's never played on a super team before.

So is he the coach or not? Can't have it both ways. Either he's a great player coach, coaching and playing his way to back to back to back finals with a championship under his belt, or he's just a player. Pick on or the other.

Ty Lue has the title of head coach, Lebron runs things. How's that?

Great point 14dreds, most people don't recognize how successful James has been head coaching his teams. Thanks to you, people will see he's been a phenomenally successful head coach and gm, as well as a player. Not sure any other player comes close.

Okay, so LeBron isn't the head coach and runs the floor like many players do such a Chris Paul.

Hmmm...nah. Paul runs things on the floor when he's playing. LeBron has his hands in the game plan, personnel, player rotations, etc.

Every star player has their hand in game plan, personnel and player rotations. Smart and successful coaches and GMs aren't going to game plan around someone other than their star. They aren't going to sign players who replicate or go against the game play of their star. Can you provide any proof that LeBron does this moreso than any other star? Or is this more of your patented "I say it so it's true" garbage?

Also, can you please name 20 players better than Steph Curry, Draymond Green and Klay Thompson? I assume you have been working on this list for the last week.

Wow, good point I never thought about from 14red.

Lebron has led his team to the finals 7 consecutive years, winning 3 titles, while basically serving as the best player, coach, and GM.

Has there ever been someone in sports who could conceivably be called a top 5 player, coach, and GM? Pretty incredible.
