Old Crossbars - I have 2 for sale - Triangular Metal

OK, I've got a pair of old 1" x 1" x 1" triangular crossbars for sale. Aluminum, one pole vault (~14' 8"), one high jump (~13' 2"), both well used. I got these along with 4 others back in 1985, and these are the last available. Anyone know of any old farts with their own pits that would like these? These are NOT straight, but for those of us who vaulted & jumped over these things back-in-the-day, I don't remember it really bothering us too much. The old steel crossbars were another matter, however!

I've posted some pics below. Make me an offer. The bars are located in Cincinnati, but I can arrange delivery anywhere in SW Ohio. Let me know @ javman@protonmail.com

Do you have any sawdust? My pits aren't in good shape.

Sorry, can't help you there.

That reminds me of a story. I first learned how to pole vault in my backyard leading up to my junior high days. Dad built a set of wooden standards going up to about 10 feet with 2" increments using either 1/4" or 3/8" dowels as the pegs. For a pole, the house we had moved into had a few old bamboo sticks in the back of the garage when we moved into it. I used one for a pole and another for the crossbar. NO vault box or hole in the ground, and certainly no pits or sawdust or sand. Landed on my feet. I think I eventually got up to 8' 6" or 9' with that configuration in Jr. High before abandoning the configuration for safety reasons. Bamboo was starting to get really stressed and fibers started splitting with each use. I did try things out with a real pole a few times the summer after my 8th grade year, but without mats and a box, I couldn't go much higher

Oh, BTW...there were NO vault coaches back then! We all learned by doing.

Ahh, those were the days!
