I would never have believed that both Brees and Ben would be kept out of their respective Conference Championships this year.

Textbook example of why you wrap up when you tackle instead of tying to knock the guy down with a shoulder blow

Keenum vs Nick Foles for the NFC Championship. Odds of that?

Keenum: undrafted
Brady: round 6
Foles: round 3
Bortles: #3 overall

Cabe/Browns fans: QB MUST BE TAKEN #1! You can only win if you have a first round QB!!!

Will he be a free agent next year? IMO his stock is soaring. Say what you will but the guy has the "it" factor big time. I mean he led his team twice down the field for the winning score in the last 2 minutes of a divisional playoff game. The first was getting the Vikes into FG range to go up 23 - 21 and the 2nd was the miracle TD. But if you look at the replay it was a perfectly thrown ball and even if the tackle was made there's a decent chance the WR get's out of bounds setting up a 50 yard FG to win. Given the situation the quality of that pass was impressive.

Two can play this game.

Murray: 6th round
Ajayi: 5th round
Lewis/White: 5th/4th round
Fournette: #4 pick

RB MUST BE TAKEN #1 ... You can only win if you have a 1st round RB!!!!

A little disingenuous to include Foles since they've been pathetic offensively since he started playing and the only reason they made the playoffs and got the 1 seed was Wentz, the #2 overall pick.

And Brady is one of the great outliers in sports history.

If that was actually my argument this would make sense but it's not, unlike the Browns fans obsessed with taking first round QBs

The Eagles are 3-1 with Foles this season. It emphasizes my point that building a team is more important than trying to find the silver bullet QB.

Why? They play one position on one side of the ball?? I think we are finally seeing that the QB position, while vital, isn't the end all be all. Next weekend, you'll see Brady, Bortles, Foles and Keenan in the conf finals.

So then you agree Barkley should be drafted first since you don't like Rosen's Jay Cutler-esque attitude?

No, if the rating are 94 to 93 ... take the QB Darnold

Really, if I was the Browns and I felt none of the QB were worthy of the first pick ... I would auction it off ... the Giants, Broncos, Jets all would give a boat load for the first pick ... I would want a combination of picks and young players ... something like Denver's 1st & 2nd picks and Garrett Bolles or the Giants 1st and 2nd and Evan Engram ... throw in a 3rd round next year ... I have not done a real look at their rosters to know which young players ... if they do this they would still have two top 5/6 picks and another good young player of their choice ... this would make the most out of having the #1 pick if they didn't want to take a QB ... of course this would mean they need to sign/trade for a veteran QB.

You're out of your mind if you think Denver or New York are going to give up that much for the #1 overall. Hell the Giants are drafting #2, why would they give up that much to move up one spot. If Rosen or Darnold is taken #1, they can take the other at #2 similar to what the Eagles did with Wentz once Goff was off the board. Nice fantasy though.

Wait, you don't think the Giants would give up the 2nd and 34th picks in the draft, along with their first round pick from last year to move up 1 spot?

Not to mention a 3rd Round next year. Bolles was also Denver's 1st Round pick last year.

I agree the Browns should try to trade the pick, but they just need to get more picks. Build the team and grab the QB either in a future draft or FA down the line once the team has been built. They need playmakers on offense. Didn't they have chances to grab Julio Jones? Or AJ Green? If Barkley is there, I wouldn't let him go by.

It's a classic overreaction this morning to devalue the QB position

Was thinking the exact same reading this last page.

Going to be amusing when the narrative completely flips the next 3 weeks after Brady torches Jacksonville and Minnesota's vaunted defenses to win his 6th Super Bowl.

Wanted the Saints to win, but if they were going to lose then I'm glad it was to Minnesota. Pretty awesome listening back to Paul Allen's call from the Minnesota perspective today.
