Reds fan here, I've got an answer to your 2nd base problems. The Reds should be actively shopping Scooter Gennett. He's not great defensively, but he can hit and it pretty good in the clubhouse.
I would think it would only cost you a couple of mid level prospects. The Reds need to make room for the #1 pick from a few years ago, Nick Senzel, who is in Triple A right now.

I like Scooter(he is on my fantasy team lol). But the Tribe doesn't need him. We just need JRam to move over there and let Gonzales or call up Yandy to play 3rd and the problem is solved. That being said I really do think Kip can play better then what he is right now. But at some point enough is enough.

JRam is terrific at 2nd, his natural position. Only a moron would not seek to fill 3rd when they finally quit Kipnis. Tito can still be "a players' manager" and cut ties. It's time. Enough is enough.

Too bad Urshella couldn't hit his weight. Great glove at third, though. He's as bad as Billy Hamilton.

The bullpen continues to be the Indians' biggest weakness. The pen melted down again in last night's loss to Houston. It's imperative that the Tribe makes at least two deals for quality set-up men. Now that we're nearing June, teams like Texas, San Diego, Baltimore and Miami all might be willing to talk trade. All have one or two relievers who could really help the Tribe. The Indians will have to part with some prospects but I'd be careful about not dealing the cream of the farm system for a guy who isn't a closer. I've said it before, I really like Diekman from Texas, Barraclough from Miami and Iglesias from the Reds. The Orioles have a couple of guys; one, Tanner Scott, is a local kid from Warren and he wouldn't cost an arm and a leg. Of course I like Brad Hand from the Padres, but he'd probably cost your soul, your first born, plus the Sun, the Moon and all the stars.

Yandy Diaz is now batting .291 at Columbus. He actually got off to a terrible start at C-bus because he'd gotten hurt in spring training and wasn't sufficiently recovered. He still has no homers but he's second or third on the Clippers with 19 RBI. I'm sure everyone remembers all the clutch hits Yandy had last August and September. I'd move Ramirez to second and plant Yandy at third yesterday if I could. Remember, Yandy won the International League batting title last year by hitting .360-plus. His OBP was something like .480. While the Tribe would like Diaz to hit more homers, he doesn't have much more to prove in the minors. Besides, the Indians lead the majors in homers. They can use a good contact hitter.

To the guy who wants to trade Scooter Gennett to the Tribe: It's not a bad idea but the Tribe already has an in-house solution in Diaz, one who is a lot less expensive.

I don't know what's going on with Francisco Mejia. He's batting .178 at C-bus. I don't know if he's playing hurt, or if he's been moved to a higher level before he was ready. He's the guy who had a 50-plus game hitting streak in 2016.

Shane Bieber is 1-1 in Columbus with a microscopic 1.32 ERA in four starts. He had posted similar numbers in Akron before his promotion to AAA. In 27 innings pitched, he has 24 K's and just 2 walks.

Top pitching prospect Triston McKenzie is in extended spring training after a preseason injury. He's the kid who was Carolina League Pitcher of the Year last year at age 19. Carolina League is High Class A ball. Most guys his age are still playing in the rookie leagues. When he's ready to pitch, the Tribe will probably send him to Akron, where he would be among the youngest players in the Eastern League.

Akron's best player is a right fielder named Conner Marabell. He's batting .324 last I looked with 6 homers, which qualifies him as a power hitter in the pitcher-friendly Eastern League. He's not considered a blue chip prospect. Marabell was a 25th round pick in the 2015 draft out of Jacksonville University. Maybe he becomes one of those marginal guys who hits his way to the majors despite what the scouts say.

Playing Kipnis is worse than keeping Lue as the leader of the Cavs.

Historically bad bullpen now. Worst pen ERA in a long time.

I wouldn't give up on Kipnis. It is May, and when I watch he has had a number of hard outs. I'd bet that he turns it around pretty soon.

As soon as he turns it around, throw him in to close the deal on a bullpen arm. It will not last. Season long numbers, he'll be more or less downhill until he's out of the league. Get something while you can - IF you can.

Tribe now has a 5 game lead, the biggest in the majors. Just shows how incredibly sucky the AL Central is this year.

That was ugly. Unearned runs and lack of run support overshadow Bauer's KOs. Get 'em tomorrow, Tribe!

Some interesting personnel decisions coming up for the Indians. Zimmer has just come off the disabled list. Guyer and Chizz expected back sometime next week and Tyler Naquin soon after that. The Tribe's outfield will soon become crowded and a couple of guys will have to go. Who should be kept? Right now, I love the way Greg Allen is playing (and hitting). I'd sure hate to give him up. Naquin was batting .326 when he got hurt and he was starting to drive the ball with power. If I were Tribe management, I'd keep Allen in center field and I'd send Zimmer to C-bus to work on his hitting; especially, cutting down on his strikeouts. I'd play Naquin in right. But that won't happen. Chisenhall will take over in right because the Tribe needs another .270 platoon hitter with warning track power. Melky Cabrera might remain as the fourth outfielder, mostly because he's a switch hitter with a track record. Guys with options might lose out, so Allen might get sent down.

When other teams start talking trade with the Tribe for bullpen arms, they're going to ask about Allen, Plutko and Bieber, in addition to some of the prospects still in the minors.
