Classic isn’t it Ying, everyone is crying these days as they type on yappi. Colt won a major tournament let him have 12 seconds of deserved fun. I tell my wrestlers to have fun no matter what, and not be demeaning to their opponent and colt wasn’t doing that. Colt congrats on the title hopefully you don’t offend anymore snowflakes before you get to college.

Thanks however I told him when he came to me it was stupid. Colt knows better than doing that and would never do that during a high school or college match. It was the flo finals a huge win for him and I get it. I like a kid celebrating to an extent but don't ever disrespect your opponent. And Colt didn't he grabbed him shook his hand and patted him on the back as I did also.

Best kid in that weight class in my view took third. Was he dumb for trying an illegal move, yes. Is that a legal move in freestyle and college, yes... Its not often you see someone win by injury default and then come back and look 100% in the next match.

If you get a chance, go watch the semi-final match.
I have known and watched Manzona since his first wrestling practice way back when with TJ Enright at DeSales. It is not in his DNA to accept victory by injury default unless he was really hurt. The kid is a beast on the mat and one of the kindest, most genuine kids off the mat.

I was wondering what the heck he did..lol

Man this makes me feel even older, I use to know all the games the kids play.. When you win a big tourney, kids should be able to celebrate.. I know Colt told me last year he wanted to be the first from the youth team to win a state title, so I guess he wanted to put a cherry on top...

The only thing I do not like about the celebration is that is what people are talking about instead of the awesome fact that this kid JUST WON FLONATIONALS!!! This is a huge accomplishment and people are worried about the two seconds after one match instead of what he did the entire tournament. Great job kid! Keep up the good work! Ohio is very proud!! If you have not heard of Fortnite try communicating with your kids. All kids knew what he did right away and laughed. /////// Speaking of Flonationals-- the problem with the Bryant semi match was the coaches, definitely not the kid. You could see the kid went back to the center to wrestle. The coaches kept sitting. Then one coach asked the ref if he called a penalty, then called his wrestler back. It is obvious the plan was to take the win seeing he was down 5-1 with 1 minute left. The coaches never tried to stretch him, never looked at his back, the trainer even walked away mid-injury time. The wrestler never attempted to loosen up or see if he could wrestle by attempting a shot. I understand it was a legitimate penalty. I just think it is a crappy way to take a win. There was no effort made to see if he could get back in the match.

Parris destroyed the #3 ranked kid last night at the Dream Team Classic.
Also got to see, #2 Brayton Lee vs. #3 Jacori Teemer and #2 Real Woods.

Yeah and Whitman is a tough customer, had a very close 3-1 match with Hoffman a couple weeks ago at Dapper Dan, pinned Cody Howard this year in their dual in about a minute, won Brecksville the last 2 years beating McCloud 7-2 this year, etc. Really bad officiating in the Lee vs Teemer match imo.

Whitman didn't look'bad' either. Parris was just that much better. I expected it to be a bit closer.
The officiating in the 'headgear debacle' was bad.

One would hope so given Singetary was a top 10 P4P recruit. I wasn’t super impressed with him his redshirt year, 3 bad losses and no good wins. However he certainly had to add weight and adjust being a heavyweight so a bit of that was to be expected. I am quite interested to see how his career turns out, there are some awful talented heavyweight’s coming into the college scene the next couple years, one of the best groups of talent this weight has seen in sometime imo.

He has had the best wrestler on planet Earth to practice with all year and hopefully Snyder will still be at the Ohio RTC next year as well.
