Pat obviously has a place in the OBX. Steered it south, and then got tuckered out.

There are lots of places that can not clean up yet. Rain has stopped and floodwaters are still rising. Will be a long time on getting back to what it was.

So sorry about all the heartache these folks have to go through. I can't imagine what this in like.
But I'm going to make a comment that some may not like. There are reports that many residents who evacuated left pets behind.

I fully support this. Folks, this is a natural disaster. You cannot allow dogs of all kinds to come into shelters with all other kinds of pets. Dogs get stressed and some have survivalist instincts. Fido may not be nice and quaint to others in a shelter like they are at home.

They are PETS, they are ANIMALS. We've flipped the script in this area so much. Many pets are treated better than humans these days.

Plus, the Chinese restaurants can save a little money when they reopen.

Wouldn't leaving pets behind increase the number of pets in the shelters....which is what you are saying you don't want to happen? Or are you assuming they would all die?

Two or three inches of rain, some low-lying streets flooded for a short time, but just fine. Thanks for asking.
