Not so sure about complete domination, this was a 3 point game with 7 minutes to go.
Statistically East had about 100 more yards.
East certainly has some fine athletes but I think they lose focus at times, blown opportunities were about even. Several injuries for East, mostly leg injuries, hope they can recover.

Stats mean jack!
Lake had 100 more yds than Dover and lost.
Some yahoo earlier in this thread said Dover supposedly dominated Lake.People claimed Dover was back after that win,yet that win doesnt look very good now that Lake is 1-3.

Akron East was awesome! Great playmakers and hustle! Dover was playing a little too much like Becker Creek and not enough like TinTown.

Dover D was on its heels all night.

Just disputing the complete domination, 3 point game in the 4th. Bottom line Dover had chances but lost. Good luck to East.

For the first 3 quarters, Dover's offense looked flat and uninspired, playing exactly the opposite of how I thought they should. There seemed to be no sense of urgency at all. Plus, Dover's not a running team! For 3 quarters, we watched Sayre try to follow through on designed runs, in place of Hess. WTH? From the beginning, it seemed like the game plan was to just run the clock down - even as we were losing! Dover's offense played conservatively and was predictable, possibly due to the interception on Dover's first possession. And the penalties certainly didn't help matters.

Briefly, we got to see the real Dover O, though, at the beginning of the fourth quarter. If that group had shown up for the whole game, Dover might have come up with the win.

Not too surprisingly, the Dover D wasn't able to stop Floyd and Williams. Floyd really got to show his speed and athleticism, with Collier hurt and out early on in the game.

Congratulations to the Dragons!

Thanks for the word on Collier. I was curious what kind of game he had.

Lake won't win another game this season. Smallest team (numbers-wise) I've ever seen at Lake. Ashland QB literally ran up the middle all night on the Blue Streaks and the defense never adjusted. Big Red beat up on a really good Boardman team last night. I dont see Dover winning that game either. I told you Akron East was for real.

Most impressive to me was the lateral movement to find space and constant leg drive from the East backs,Dover looked to have them for a loss or small gain but couldn't coral them on numerous occasions. Bright spot for Dover would be the willingness to battle to the end.

Money Ball is an unknown quantity at this point
Irish football,

Are you being serious trying to place any validation on the outcome of a regular season game from the results of a 7-on-7 fantasy football camp scrimmage??!!!! Get real, my friend! There is no line rushing at you during those Disney-world like passing camps, and there is no one in the defensive backfield or linebacker locations waiting to take your head off should you catch, or attempt to catch a ball.

As I stated, and it appears it occurred, East dominated the LOS and "leaned" on Dover and controlled the clock. They have talent, and they have players that can move the rock, if they can just eliminate the turnovers, they can have another special year.

And not a bad prediction by MB on the score, either, ehh?!!! Prediction of 41-27, 34-24.....not bad...

Dover needs to find a way to tackle better. This has been a problem for years.. Yes the D is better this year but has a long long way to go.. on to the next one. Great game by East

As a Dover fan....yeah East dominated that game. If you take the turnovers away East wins by at least 3 or 4 scores.

Dover doesn't tackle and, unfortunately, without Hess they have no consistent offense. The QB draw was the only play that gained Dover yards for a while until East adjusted to that.

Could be a rough rest of the season if Hess doesn't bounce back quickly and they don't learn to wrap up on defense. East had at least 4 4th down conversions on QB scrambles because we didn't wrap. Frustrating

They need to start hitting in practice!

Have a tough time seeing Dover any better than 7-3 this season.

Sorry, I don't agree with your terminology. To me, complete domination would mean winning by more than 10 points (especially considering that your opponent's best player is out and that your own team is chock-full of D1 recruits).

Sorry, I don't agree. Hess looked pretty healthy standing on the sidelines, and I was told he will be playing next week. Besides, IMO, last night's loss was on the coaches, not on the players.

I like Dovers chances the rest of regular seasons. I'm not sure people knew the size and speed of East. That will help the Tornadoes through their schedule. They did hit at the start of the season. To many injuries from their own players in practice. We're still waiting on some to play.
