Would have been nice to signed Gonzalez. 10 mill a year is a steal I think for a guy as versatile as him and he would have been our best outfielder. Maybe some of the kids they are going to try out hit the ground running but this lineup doesn't really strike fear into anyone.

If they don't acquire a couple of HR hitters maybe a Ping Pong season with a Great pitching staff,it may work till the playoffs and then we know what happens.

Pitching Rotation deep and possibly the best in baseball. Bullpen has very good potential. The infield is very talented adding another catcher who can hit would be a bonus. I like the addition of Santana and Jake Bauer. The outfield is a complete joke Absolutley the worst in baseball. Losing the power and RBIís from Encarnacion Alonzo and Brantley is irresponsible by the front office. So pinching pennies has left this team with a top 5 pitching staff and a AA minor league outfield. What will be the result ?

I was talking about Marwin Gonzalez Ray. Sorry should have specified with such a common last name.

He would have been a nice addition. His position versatility would have allowed Tito to have some flexibility.

That's my thoughts. Plus 10 mill a year I think is a bargain for a player like him.

I would still like to see an Adam Jones type signing, but I am not very hopeful.

Baring an injury, it seems like Bauers will play left, Martin in center and some sort of combination of Naquin, Allen and god know what in right. Hopefully Zimmer comes back sooner then expected.

Need a stick for sure but at least we have good defensive outfielders.

Judging by the early results in spring training, Greg Allen looks like he wants to be one the starting RF/CF. Luplow and Joyce.....not so much.

Signed Cargo to a minor deal low risk move. At least the opt out goes into April to get a longer look.

Better late then never on Cargo, I guess.

I wonder if this is more about Hanley or the current OF mess, either way I like the move.

I'd take two more like him for sure.

Totally agree.

If nothing else, play these guys until the tank is empty and buy more time for the younger guys.

The Padres seem intent to get Kluber or Bauer at some point. Has anyone heard of what the Tribe is seeking in return?

With all of these reports, I have yet to hear any names of potential targets. I would assume a corner OF and SP would be the conversation starter. It seems like SD has top level guys and then they have a bunch of other guys who don't really have a clear path to the big leagues.

That is true, but we are still enjoying Carlos Carassco from the Cliff Lee trade.

I would support a Bauer or Kluber deal if it generates pieces that are still helping this year several years later.
