Thinking Clemson in a close one... I'll say if Bama does not score a defensive/ST TD Clemson wins.

Wow, amazing how now one pays attention when your team isn't in it??

I look for a great game tonight. While the committee didn't hit the top 4 very well, it's good they at least split these two in the semis.

Clemson has a really good offense, better than Bama's seen all season. One thing the SEC does not have is dynamic QB's. Watson is the best QB they'll see all season.

However, Clemson can't give Bama points. They have to keep the turnovers to a minimum. Bama's defense thrives on getting points.

On the other side, Bama's offense has had games where they start slowly. Hurts is another running back who throws occasionally and the Bama offense is more grind it out. Can Clemson keep their offense on the field and get ahead and make Bama chase them.

If Clemson can get the game into the high 20's or 30's or more, they have a great chance to win this thing.

Nice breakdown captain obvious. Everything you just said is the exact same thing people have been talking about all week and really for the last month when discussing the matchups against Clemson/Bama. You even kept your stance in that the CFP Committee getting their "4" wrong (even though they didn't).

Bama is likely going to win, but I think most hope Clemson pulls it off. Count me as one of those thinkers.

Seems to me everyone thinks Bama will win? I've not watched much of the coverage this week. Actually, it's been pretty much all NFL playoffs this week, haven't heard much about college football this week, other than all the Buckeyes leaving for the NFL. Which brings up a point. All I heard is this Buckeye team is young and should be ready to compete next year for a title. Does that still hold true when many of the young guys leave early for the NFL?

How does it seem to you that everyone thinks Bama will win if you haven't been watching much of the coverage this week and most people in this thread have voted for Clemson?

I am thinking if ALabama outscores Clemson, then they will win the game, but if they dont, then Clemson wins it all.

Hoping for a Clemson win. Only good thing if Bama wins is all those OSU pukes who hate the SEC will get even more fired up!

I'd take Alabama straight up and Clemson plus the 6.5 they're presently getting.

I think the game may come down to whether Alabama gets another TD on defense.

Alabama should have been called for two targeting plays already...

I must have missed the story where college football has dropped the targeting penalty. BLATANT helmet to helmet hit by a Bama player is not called by the Big 12 ref crew. This is what makes watching football increasingly frustrating. Last week that same play would have been a 15 yard penalty and the player would have been ejected.

How do you miss that Targeting call? Now Williams likely has a concussion.

I posted the same thing Yappi. How on earth did the refs miss that last one? They're showing it again and the consultant ref is covering up for his buddies on the field.

Big penalty against Bama ends that drive. Now Clemson needs to do something on offense after the blocked punt.

It just looks bad when Clemson has two 15 yard penalties on marginal calls and Bama has one. Both of Bama's should have been ejections.

Yeah blatant miss on the targeting and now Mike Williams might be out for the game.

Bad play call earlier by Clemson on that 4th and 1.

The Bama punter is good, very good!

Why are the slow witted Big 12 refs reviewing this? I mean by the time they called for the review we had already seen a couple replays clearly showing the ball never crossed the line.
