Close game so far. Neither team is playing particularly well yet.

Mike did not agree.

Durant being on the Warriors gives me one more smug puke to root against!

Kyrie as alpha male...the new D Wade. Lebron could play a long time in this format.

I like the T on Jefferson for winking at KD after throwing it down over him.

Oh, and just to clarify, Kyrie is still Steph's daddy.

The fraud known as Steph Curry. Not even the second best player on his team yet again.

Epic LOL'ing at the people who said a healthy Kyrie wouldn't have made a difference in the 2015 Finals.

I keep going back to Kyrie breaking Curry's will at Team USA tryouts a few years back, when Curry had to be talked out of going home early. He has never really recovered. Ownership of the mind.

A great article about Steve Kerr from the New York Times, going into his background and the assassination of his father...some may wish to skip given the source.

Awesome game. LeBron's dunk with about 1:30 left was a murder scene. Kyrie over Thompson with Steph's bi+ch azz head buried in his jersey will be iconic for the rest of the season.

That's why I hate Steph. It's a close game against a team you blew a 3-1 lead in the finals. Not only are you such a defensive liability your coach takes you out, but you're pouting like your 3 year old daughter.

Did not see the game, just the highlights. What a tough, clutch shot by Kyrie. Almost one of those - if he misses it - was like "that's the best shot you could get". But kudos to the Cavs, they limped around most of the game and made a run at the end. Could be a matchup of the finals in June, although the Warriors have a much tougher road in the west. I don't know if people really understand how much weaker the east is than the west, Cavs fans have to at least admit that. The West may have 7 of the top 8 teams in the NBA, it's that big of a gap.

You shouldn't have included this. Every single person who even casually follows the NBA knows this. It's been the case for nearly 20 years.

I don't know Jim, there were alot of people who were saying how much better the East got last season. It certainly isn't anymore.

No one said that. A few years ago people thought the East might be catching up with young stars in Paul George in Indy, Derrick Rose in Chicago, Melo going to the Knicks and Toronto making moves. However both PG and Rose have sustained bad injuries. Chicago moved on from Rose. The Knicks are a dumpster fire that can't figure out how to play basketball and Toronto is a thorn in Cleveland's side. It was:

Cavs

Raptors

everyone else

Toronto and Boston are top 7 teams in the NBA, giving the East 3 of the top 7 overall.

The West is better at the very top with SA and GS, LAC and (currently) Houston, but with Durant leaving OKC and Boston adding Horford, the balance of power moved a little closer to the East this year

Milwaukee isn't there yet but looks like it could be a serious force to be reckoned with in the near future

I'm still waiting on Boston, to be fair I don't pay much attention until Christmas. For me the NBA season started 2 days ago.
