I agree with you. Is Bama a very good team and deserves the #1 seed, ABSOLUTELY! , but who have they really played that had a good offense and a good defense with good coaching?

I think Washington, OSU, and Clemson can beat Bama, but they all have their flaws and if these teams turn the ball over it will be hard to beat them. I think the Bucks will have a tough time beating Clemson or Bama because their right tack Prince is a turnstyle and will need to give him some help with a RB, TE. I am also worried about Barrett being able to hit a receiver past 20yds in stride accurately. The best weapon the Bucks have is Urban. He knows how to beat Bama and knows what it takes. Not only will the semi final games/ championship games will be great, but there are alot of matchups I want to watch.

I know this will not happen, but would like to see Burrow get a series, in 1st qtr and see if they can move the ball better in the air or give him a series, if Barrett struggles and starts sailing his passes over and behind the receivers. Also, they need to pull out the juggs machines to have the eeceivers catching the ball with their hands and not the chest.

Watson makes a lot of mistakes. I saw him throw up passes against VT that were caught that against any of these three teams will be picked and maybe taken back for six. Clemson seems like FSU of the first playoff. Struggled at times but won and got in but isn't really that good. The skill positions are good for Clemson, but I think the other teams will be able to cover them and Watson will throw at least two picks. TOSU handed the game to Clemson in 2014. That will not happen this year. The players for the Buckeyes will not muff punts trying to show off for the scouts. If Barrett gets hurt,
Burrows will be able to step in and maybe even play better. The only problem the Bucks have is youth. This is a very young team. Young teams make mistakes. Barrett has to be able to throw down the field. I think he will do better with that in these games because weather will not be a factor.

Barrett needs to not be terrified to throw down field, he doesn't even attempt to throw down field. The thing I like about Penn State's QB is that he has no fear of throwing down field trusting that his receivers will make plays and bring down the ball. Cardell Jones had similar non fear and it won Ohio State a National Championship. Trust your athletes, Ohio State has no shortage of them. Also if he sees an opening on a pass play and no one is open, he should take off. He waits to long to run with big openings and it usually results in a sack or at best, a pass that has no chance of being completed.

I've been a big Joe Burrow fan but the buzz around bowl practice has been how amazing true freshman Haskins has been playing.

falguin and '74, I do agree that Barrett holds the ball too long and he misses his WRs badly at times. However, another issue is the WRs just aren't getting open.

A lot of national college football reporters are picking Clemson and the main call out is the experienced talent level is much higher for the Tigers. Also a lot of these folks are enamored by Dabo Swiney and they think he negates any advantage that Urban Meyer may bring to the table. In Vegas the line has really not moved much, it has been tOSU -3.0 or -3.5 since it was set with no big $s flowing either way.

I think the Buckeye defense will have to force at least two turnovers, and maybe score once (or come close to scoring). Samuel will have to break a big play or two, and we will need to play ball control with Barrett picking up first downs on the ground. HAVE to be able to complete some passes further than five yards down field as well

Strange how I look forward to OSU football games and then after they start to play I get so nervous it is hard to watch. I really wish I could just sit and enjoy the game and not worry about who wins. I am not a drinker, but maybe I should start it might watching easier. GO! BUCKEYES!!!!!!

LOL I'm pretty good at just enjoying games like the Huskie-Tide game, but I know what you mean when it comes to the Buckeyes. It's what makes sports fun (I guess).

Personally, I am better than I was when I was younger as I try not to equate my success with the teams' success - or failure. The sun has always come up the next day!

Now, where's my valium bottle?

GO BUCKS!!!

Another dumb Fg attempt...no good.

Why does Urban have so much faith in this kicker?
