I think that Mark May has been broken, at least for now. Stan Verrett is jabbing at him, referring to "...Mark's beloved Ohio State University...".

May is stuck following that up with a sarcastically sweet praise session for JT Barrett's career against Meatchicken

maybe you should have waited for LSU to hire a coach before making such a outlandish statement

May have already been mentioned on this already but... Jonathan Vilma is another talking head clone of Mark May. You should've seen May getting a woody when Vilma was roasting the Buckeyes.

LSU hired one of the best ASSISTANT coaches in the game. He'll not be successful as a head coach. They should have dumped Les Miles long long ago and now they've compounded their troubles with this selection. I remember how their AD was stating last year that the LSU job was one of the most prestigious in all of football, including professional. That type of delusion leads to some pretty unimpressive football.

The guy reminds me of the assistant coach from the WaterBoy movie.

It is. But who's out there other than Herman? They tried twice for Jimbo but it's a lateral move.

Throw in Indiana and Iowa, who are decent but not any more than mid level programs, and Michigan State's free fall this year, and it's cupcake city for the Big ten powers.
Obligatory bump.

Currently the SEC's only win is 17-16 over the Miami Redhawks. Frightening.

(glad you mentioned the Pac 12 as well, since Minnesota minus half their team beat 7-2 in the Pac 12 Washington State)

Let's see what happens to the big boys from the SEC. If they lose, then you know how bad the league is. Unlike the BIG, who have been underdogs in every game and playing in the backyards of every team, the SEC teams are the favorites and playing close to home. I'll not be surprised if UW beats Bama. I will love that if that happens. TOSU would have beaten Bama last year. I bet Saban was breathing a sigh of relief when MSU beat TOSU. The talk about UW sounds very much like how they talked about Bama vs. TOSU and look what happened?

With the way OSU played last year, I don't think they would have beaten Bama. They had the talent, didn't translate on the field.

I'd be surprised if Washington beat Bama. Washington doesn't have a very reliable run game from my understanding and their defense is pedestrian.

Confidence in Washington is waning a bit after seeing these Pac 12 teams in bowls. BUT UW dismantled both WSU and Colorado, so it's not like they were on a similar level

I agree. I didn't believe Wash deserved to be in the playoff with their OOC games and they got credit for beating up on Wash St, who has proven they are not very good. Having said that I think Bama is getting over hyped on being the greatest team ever when the SEC this year is not very good. I think Bama will probably win and win comfortably, but would not be surprised if Wash gave them a fight for 2-3qtrs. My big question is, if this is Bama's greatest team ever deemed by the media, would Clemson or Ohio State be the greatest team ever if either one of them beat Bama???

I was really in denial about tOSU. I thought the offense would get it together. Washington was shell shocked. The defense played well. Bama's offense did not look good. That should encourage Clemson fans because they look like they can easily stop Bama's offense and you are not going to keep Clemson below 30 points.

OSU's defense would have held Clemson down if the offense could have stayed on the field. 9 first downs. 40/60 possession. 3 of 14 on 3rd down. What a joke.

Saban is probably going to go smashmouth with his big RBs. They'll eat up clock and wear down Clemson's defense.

Either way Herman wasn't going to dethrone the machine that is Alabama football right now. It only took Sabah a couple years to start curb stomping Meyer's Florida teams. No one is going to take over until Saban retires.
