I was surprised how easily Wyoming brushed aside Hughes. I'm not sure which CHL backcourt is going to be able to contain Grayson & the younger Edmonds.

The only team that even has a chance of keeping it in single digits vs Wyoming is Indian Hill, Wyoming will beat every other team by double digits easily. Reading will not go 4-0 against DP and Finneytown - Finneytown and Reading always play close games and Deer Park is much improved and will beat Reading at least once

In the words of the Great Comet Country, "What does it matter--talking about 7th and 8th place"

All three teams are pretty bad. My money is on Finneytown to take the bottom slot, because they have the worst coach in the league, and im sure by years end he will find a way to alienate his entire team and they will quit on him...AGAIN

Maybe it's just Mariemont, but I've seen a trend of many player skipping sports (such as basketball or baseball) to "focus" on other sports (in Mariemont's case, lacrosse).

I know that Mariemont is going to be miss out on a few good, young players (Renie, Cowart) because of this. Is this just a Mariemont thing or is it pretty common?

There are some good CHL matchups tonight that will shed a lot of light on who theses teams really are:

Indian Hill @ Wyoming - can IH really hang with Wyoming?
Mariemont @ Taylor - two mid level teams
Reading @ Deer Park - Can DP come out of the cellar at Reading's expense?
Finneytown @ Madeira - Can Finneytown show us anything?

Predictions:
Wyoming by 12
Mariemont by 10
Toss up
Madeira by 12+

Did you mean Wyoming by 12 or do you really think IH wins on the road by double digits tonight?

this is not just a Mariemont thing. At Madiera both 6-6: Sam whirsing and 6-5 back up Matt Gelhouse are not playing this year.

Taylor freshmen beat Mariemont in OT. Taylor wins JV game also in OT. Mariemont wins varsity game in double OT.

Looks like Jerry Maguire was right grouping Mariemont with Taylor. They are obviously pretty even.

If Mariemont can finish 2nd -4th then Taylor should be able to do the same since those two teams are just about dead even in ability. Hope that clears up the confusion.

No confusion at all. Sure they Taylor can finish 2-4, but im saying they wont. Both Cant finish in the 2-4 range, so ill stick with Mariemont. Not to mention they already beat Taylor at Taylor. Whether its by 1 or by 100, its a win. Now I guess we wait to see if Taylor can win at Mariemont.

Mariemont will be better than most people think - but not good enough to compete with Wyoming or IH. Will be competitive with Madeira and Reading - especially when they get one of their better players back from injury.

Wonder if Tayor AD will show up at Mariemont and try to kick out the Mariemont student section like he did at Taylor!

Just never seems to happen at schools like Wyoming or Indian Hill. I consistently see their guys playing 3 sports a year and doing well.

Maybe I'm wrong, but when I hear some of those guys say they want to "focus" on some sport I'm not sure that's really happening. Maybe they're too lazy? Don't like the coach? Who knows.

Wow, Indian Hill blowing out Norwood by 47? Was that Norwood's freshman team or are they just that bad? And what's up with Madeira getting killed by Goshen? Some odd scores.

Heard he was injured - not sure if it was in the game or in practice, but that is why he was not in the box score.

Congrats to Deer Park on getting their first league win in a long time. Is Finneytown down or is Deer Park really 26 points better? Maybe a little of both?

Finneytown is bad.

Is Jalen Rose new at Deer Park? He had 33 against Finneytown.
