Wow, that's unexpected. I always expect kids, even born and bred OSU kids, to continue taking visits. I mean if for nothing else so you can go on a paid trip to a major college and be treated like a king.

Yeah, I don't necessarily understand that thought process.

Well, IF you continue taking other visits, there's always a chance you lose your spot. Kareem Walker played that game and we said "Nope, not waiting around, we'll go with Antonio Williams."

Walker wasn't upfront about it, from my understanding, which is why they moved on from him.

This kid HAS to be making up these comments. He likely felt disrespected in some way and interpreted the conversation very differently than how it actually played out. It would make absolutely no sense for Meyer to say anything like that.

Read that Rashan Gary's (UM commit) mom came out and defended Urban.

Sounds like he couldn't handle Urban's straightforward, no BS style of recruiting. A lot of recruits say they love Urban for that very same reason

Not OSU recruiting but I'm not going to make a new thread just for this.

Few months ago Tennessee offered 20 IMG players at once. Today Georgia offered 18 IMG players.

The kid has apologized, I'm sure to save face and not have a label that he's a sissy.

High school junior QB Jake Bentley to join South Carolina for 2016 season: http://espn.go.com/college-sports/re...ks-2016-season

What is unique about this situation is the kid is forgoing his entire Senior year of High School which includes the football season. That is just wrong on so many levels.

I've always wondered why we don't see this happen more often in football. Kids pretty frequently reclassify in college basketball.

I don't see anything wrong with it. He has enough credits to graduate and his father I believe is a coach for USC.

lotr10 will become famous soon enough
Just wanted to give a shout-out to a Fairfield player who is very high on the Ohio State recruiting list:

http://ohiostate.247sports.com/Bolt/...tate--44879778

Jack Carman will only be a junior this year but already he makes an impression on the field. Great OT's are hard to come by.

Another Fairfield Junior to be, DL Malik Vann, is attracting a lot of attention (offer by ND among a whole bunch) and if he has a great junior year he'll also be at the top of the OSU radar.

ok I was in a field logue for the spring game with some upper crusters sippin on LI Ice Teas and here is what I saw : first : Our defense will be nasty once again . I think the D is ahead of the offense by miles right now . LOADED with players everywhere . SECOND: Our O Line needs work BUT I am confident they will be fine . THIRD : JT Barrett needs to know what RB will be his main cat back there . The Weber kid is tough . I think he is the best blocking RB right now and with Urb that will carry some weight . Dunn will need to show something . If there are too many ? marks in week 3 ,Oklahoma will destroy us . Lots of work to do ,but no shortage of playmakers . If we stay healthy enough , this is the type of team that Urb will have peaking right at the right time come playoffs ...

Dunn didn't take the first carry on Saturday because he twisted his ankle

The only reason most don't want it to be Dunn is only because he's a senior and not a freshman or sophomore, which is a stupid reason

I've heard/read some many people say "if he hasn't made his mark by now, he won't ever do it. go with weber" which is utterly moronic because 1) his freshman year was Hyde's junior year/sophomore year was Hyde's senior year and 2) Zeke was a Heisman candidate and a likely top 10 pick in the draft. So stupid.

how is that moronic frank underarmpit? Dunn has his last chance ... I really do hope he does emerge . saw him in hs and he was good ,real good ,but thought he would have fit in better at a penn st or even Michigan ..just my opinion ...Weber and Samuel should be the primaries while mixing in Dunn...dats what will happen

Because he was stuck behind a worthy 2nd round pick and a Heisman + top 10 pick. Meaning he'd have to have been a top 5 running back in college football the last 4 years to get any meaningful touches. That's why it's moronic.

????????????? Dunn was in the system before Elliott . Elliott just passed him by .So ,if Weber or Williams pass Dunn by ,then he wasn't good enough .End of story . Go back and do your homework lawn boy . That's right . You heard me .

Just play the best guy. I think that's Samuel, but if they use him as a WR a bit more I can see why Dunn/Weber may get more carries.

Because Zeke was a Heisman contender and is a top 10 pick. Meaning if Dunn wanted any significant carries he needed to be a top 5 running back the last 4 years.

Meyer has said Dunn and Weber are neck and neck and that both will get carries. If Weber was a Heisman contender already, they wouldn't be neck and neck.
