Who cares about Massillon or McKinley?!?!? Not even on the same planet as St. Eds or St. Ignatius. So just stop. They both blow.

In swimming they have 25 district at 10 runner up and 13 state titles but the program was when they were the only school in stark county that had a pool that program is long gone with St X winning 40 state titles

Want to know why your program has disappeared. You have over 10+ titles. Canton City trolls don't want to acknowledge their history, then they loose the stupid argument. That's why you aren't a Massillon and are referred to as "Who is that team Massillon plays every year" from around the country.

Why don't you guys have some respect for your program and the players that actually built it up over the years.. Maybe it wouldn't be the dump it is today.

Well Cap, the OFFICIAL Canton McKinley sports website begs to differ...

Please check out the website below:

https://www.cantonmckinley.com/home/...dual-champions

Please scroll down the page and notice the list of state championships.

Notice that they list their 9 "paper" titles in football in the same way as all their other state championships. There is no asterisk to separate those from the rest. In fact they even list 2 "paper" national championships as well.

Please contact the webmaster of this site and tell them to omit those "paper" titles since you claim they don't count. I have asked JJBob to do this but apparently it slipped his mind.

Maybe someone can answer this question? McKinley counts football titles in 1895 and 1896 (banners in the Memorial Fieldhouse). Yet, the list provided on the OHSAA website, under the football section (Early Ohio High School Football Championships), doesn't list the Bulldogs winning championships during those years. Other teams are listed for those years.

Since you appear to be an Alliance Aviators fan. Do you count the football championship for Alliance from 1958?

Math isn't a strong suit in Massillon. They are well trained as illusionists instead.

I hope that either JJBob or CaptA plans on contacting the webmaster to get that changed soon. I'm sure that they would want the OFFICIAL website to be accurate and not contain false information
After all, they both seem like such honest and truthful people

If you guys want a 25th title I'd be happy to xerox a big 25 on a sheet of paper for ya

Why don't you answer my question?

Thanks for proving my point. I bet the people that busted their on the grid iron and built the program up are happy you disrespect their accomplishments.
I know 4 members ofo the 55' McKinley State championship football team that are very proud to have been state champs. But pencil neck puzzies like you who never played the game could never understand it. Maybe I should let them know they didn't exist.

I've followed Stark County football for a long time. I have a lot of respect for most of the programs. Their history, traditions, great players and great coaches. Because of the historical significance of the Massillon/McK rivalry there is probably no other place that compares. Anybody that suggest Massillon's championships are insignificant is really promoting their own ignorance.

There is so much information available to study and learn about those earlier days. Scores, stats, newspaper articles, game films are all easily accessible. If you take the time to look what you'll see is a program that totally dominated for 45 years. Many years it was 10 games, 10 blowouts. Look at the coaching. Many are considered the best in Ohio history. The innovation!. Look at the players. Just the list of those that went on to start at Ohio State is staggering. If you look at it objectively I think it's hard to say that the vast majority of those teams wouldn't have rolled through a playoff schedule.

You should look up info before you spout what you think. OHSAA was formed in 1907.

Let’s see if I have this straight…

CaptA (post 27) - “…but didn’t win an OHSAA championship because it didn’t exist.”

Striker300 (post 30) - “The OHSAA was formed in 1907.”

CaptA (post 31) - “The OHSAA may have existed but...”

Hmmmm… Sure seems like Cappy made a claim and was proven wrong.

Yeah, it's a false claim... but I see that all you want to do is dodge it... you are the one who made the claim - don't you stand behind it? Or do you just want to continue to deflect and make silly comments and insults?

Actually, McKinley has as many playoff championships as St. Edward (3), and way more poll titles.
