Brookville could be the team they upset , brookville is good but hard to truly judge them based off who their 5 wins have came from. Milton is 3-3 and still 2 spots ahead of brookville in region ,who is 5-1. Yes they’ve taken care of business and beat those teams down but still.

Tri county north 4-2
26-22 win good win
1-5 Dixie
47-0
0-6 Eaton
48-13
0-6 Carlisle
42-2
2-4 oakwood
48-14

Lone loss to Anna (4-2) 48-27

We will find out in 2 weeks how good they truly are when they go to B.B.

Like I said tho , scores are impressive even with the teams being lousy comp

The Blue Devils will go down this week at Monroe! The Hornets have improved every week and are finally starting to get things going. D looks solid and the offense will do enough to win.

One thing I notice more than anything in the entire SWBL, it's Week 7, and we know very little about a 5-1 Brookville team. They've essentially beaten all the teams you would expect them to beat and lost to the one team that you would expect would challenge them. The combined record of the teams in their 5 wins is 7-23. They did have nice come from behind win in Week 1 over TCN, but again, it's TCN. They'll play Monroe this week, but we'll actually see what Brookville has when they face Bellbrook, Franklin, and VV.

What many have said about VV is true. They're essentially very young and lost a ton of talent from last season's team. I have been impressed that they're three losses came to three very good teams, but they competed well in all three games. There's still a lot of football to be played. If VV can finish 7-3, there's a decent chance they can still make the playoffs. They'll need help but I see several losses on the schedule for teams like Batavia, Shawnee, Northwestern, etc. Jonathan Alder is one team that may push forward and cause VV trouble in making the Top 8 in R16. Right now I see 5 teams that look good for the playoffs in R16, with Aiken and Taft in pretty good shape. It may come down to that final spot with Jonathan Alder or VV.

Looks like they have ALREADY surprised a bunch of people ....lol....They might win 2 or 3 of their last 4 ...but might lose them all too the way they have been playing in squeaking by Shawnee and Monroe...seems like they just lack focus ...everyone thought they were a 7 & 3 or 8 & 2 team ....or better if some kids excelled ...obviously didn't happen ...

Valley view is still very good. They are heads and tails better than Milton and it's a young team there too.
Brookville would beat Milton going away.

Monroe ain't gonna beat Brookville. They're too balanced and more talented. Eaton was god awful pee wee team. Anybody could have beat them.

That’s all fine and dandy but the fact I’m getting at is their schedule is an absolute joke , that’s why your 3-3 Milton is 2 spots ahead of them at 10 and brookville is sitting 4 spots out at 12 with a 5-1 record . They may be good , but how good ? Because they were good the past 2 years going 7-3 and 6-4 respectfully both years but they couldn’t beat the top 3 teams in league , valley view , Franklin and bellbrook . And besides beating Anna 2 years ago I could argue they haven’t had a good win one , schedule says a lot , they need to add to the ooc , keep Anna add someone else or even 2 other teams so cone league play your prepared and have better computer points .

Brookville will beat Monroe. Their good, just not sure how good . I think they beat franklin and lose to bb and vv finish 7-3 and hopefully for their sake and the leagues they get in

As I’ve stated before wouldn’t be shocked at all if Franklin beats them but if I was going to put money on it I’d take a brookville team that’s a consistent unit on both sides of ball and that’s lost to Franklin 2 straight years , I think they’ll want it more

While I will agree that North and Dixie are games that should be wins every year for Brookville, it's really the league that is making their schedule look week. 0-6 Carlisle and 0-6 Eaton are the reason the Devils are only in 9th at 5-1. Milton plays both Dixie and Carlisle in weeks 9&10, so comparing MU and Brookville at only 2 spots different isn't really apples to apples. MU is going to win those games and probably drop in the rankings when they do.
The TCN game is a smart one in my eyes. Brookville should get a win to start the season, but then North is going to win some games in the CCC and be worth decent points. Dixie is the only one they should look at replacing. But even they were 5-5 and 4-6 the last 2 years, and worth some points.
The entire league is down this year, with the exceptions of Madison and Bellbrook, and records that would've put fringe teams into the playoffs in past years won't be good enough this year.

TCN vs Brookville is all about the gate.
Neighboring towns to open the season, both towns are excited to see that years team and people flood to that game. Start the school year off right with some money in the ADs account. As said Brookville usually gets a win and North will get 4 to 7 wins a season to help with second level points. Anna is a great test going into conference play. Its more about their bad conference schedule than their OOC.

VV having major issues with slow starts this season... currently down 14-0 early 2nd. Defense has tightend up last few possessions. Offense getting some big plays but Franklin is dominating the left side of VV Oline. VV just had a nice return on a punt. Almost in must score mode to stay in it

Monroe 7 Brookville 7, 2 minutes until half. Not overly impressed with Brookville. Monroe could be easily be up 21-7. Had the ball twice inside the 10 and came away with nothing.

Franklin - 17
VV - 3
Half

Boy oh boy VV is getting utterly DOMINATED at the line of scrimmage. VV is real good about making second half adjustments. Might I recommend putting your QB in the shotgun to give him a little more time

Franklin plays their best game of the year and will try to cap off a lousy start to a winning season, they were probably a 1st and goal from being league champs and a playoff team. They will be very good next year a lot of young kids playing for the Wildcats.
