I am starting the Wire again for a 3rd time if anyone wants to discuss this thing while watching.

Sounds kind of lame yet I had a cinema prof in college that use to say you never really have seen a film until the 2nd+ viewing.

Lame maybe but dead on though. Really seeing a movie? The expressions, the background. Gives me better appreciation that it really is an art form and I'm surprised how a movie I enjoyed might go into the why did I like that category or vise-versa. Happen to you?

I have a personal trainer that has recommended I pick out a series and watch only when working out. Encouragement to get back in gym or on treadmill each day.

Currently watching Bosch (Amazon Prime) and thinking about The Wire next. Trying to stick to shows I don't have to pay more for, so Amazon Prime, HBO, Showtime, and Hulu are good for me, but no NetFlix.

Good suggestions above.

I watched the first season of Everything Sucks on Netflix the other day. I actually liked it quite a bit. I don't think it has the best ratings, but I enjoyed it. Freaks and Geeks is one of my favorite shows ever, and this show reminded me of that a little.

Eh. Solid premise but kind of cartoonish at times and not very believable.

From Amazon I actually liked The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel. Not for everyone but if you have been around Jewish culture or get Borscht Belt Comedy it is exceptional. Also cool how they showed the behind the curtain aspects of how the stand up comedy business works. Finally Rachel Brosnahan is fantastic as the title character and will have a bright future.

Amazon show's I've seen

Goliath-Great show, would highly recommend
Transparent- Very good. Not for everyone but I enjoyed it. Very progressive.
Mad Dogs- Only 1 season in the whole series. It was decent. Worth the watch.
Red Oaks- Also decent. Kind of gets redundant after a while.

Just saw Frankenstein Chronicles pop-up on what Netfliz says I'll prefer (they're usually wrong). But think I'll give it a try when I'm done with Sherlock.

Mentioned S2E1 before. That was Adler. Another great one at S3E2, Watson's Wedding.
